See, Bravo, we've come full circle but it's not ‘exactly’ the same!
.
My ‘proofreader’ said it sounds campy for Jack to say something like ‘the Kind we see in Movies’, but it just seemed like something Jack would say - punch me!
.
And how is it all Jack's cohorts don't know he's ‘different’? Hey, Clark Kent gets away with worse… ;) Seriously, the soldiers just think he's a really, really good shot with a rifle!
.
Kimber Lee's had it pretty good for a couple chapters now, but the setting is changing - Big Time! And lots of ‘reveals’ coming - hope there's so ‘Ah!’ moments!
.
Thanks for reading everyone!

A bit campy yes but it still works for me, lol I hate to see movie cliches in comic book stories but corny lines are often said in real life too so it feels natural enough to me to hear them elsewhere.

@Paul: Thank You !!!! :):)
PaulEberhardt at 4:23PM, Sept. 23, 2014
Congrats on the award and another great presentation!
KimLuster at 4:56AM, Sept. 21, 2014
@FC: You're... very insightful! Looking forward to you reading a particular page coming relatively soonish....
PaulEberhardt at 4:55AM, Sept. 21, 2014
Now that was one of the parts I liked especially. :)
KimLuster at 4:54AM, Sept. 21, 2014
@PaulEberhartd: haha Thanks! I hope my contempt for the Long-Island Medium wasn't too obvious ;) And I'm totally cool with not winning any of them... That I was 'nominated' (which is done by the actual readers) 7 times pleases me to no end!
PaulEberhardt at 4:53AM, Sept. 21, 2014
Didn't really have time for the awards this year, but I hope I can get involved in them again next year - it's easier to stay up-to-date that way. ;) I hope you'll win something, too. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
KimLuster at 4:52AM, Sept. 21, 2014
@PaulEberhartd: Indeed... along those thoughts, my 'proofreader' suggested I try a comedy next time ;)
PaulEberhardt at 4:50AM, Sept. 21, 2014
By the way, I finally got around to looking into the DD awards, and found a really and hilarious presentation about the Use of Medium(s). :D Great stuff! I laughed so hard I had a hard time to keep the café owner from calling the funny farm. ;)
PaulEberhardt at 4:32AM, Sept. 21, 2014
Obviously he's seen these scientists at work and concluded they'll definitely need another guinea pig than him. This doesn't bode well for Kimber - but then, how much worse than being shot and put through all kinds of hell can it possibly get? It'll give us a few hints whether this is a dream or not, though, as real life always allows some room for things to get worse. ;D So do dreams, mind, but you often have a harder time explaining in what way. :)
fallopiancrusader at 7:25PM, Sept. 20, 2014
He sounds a little envious that he doesn't have any loved ones and ex-rivals to cozy up to. Otherwise, why would he be so catty about it?
KimLuster at 5:29AM, Sept. 20, 2014
@Banes: Glad the line worked - I may have to fire my 'proofreader' haha. And Caleb certainly 'thinks' he's superior ;) Maybe he is. He believe he acquired his ability from Kimber Lee (And it looks like he did - see pg. 90), but believes since he's accepted it (doesn't believe he's dreaming) and has been 'honing' it, that he'd grown more powerful than her. We'll see ;)
Banes at 12:25AM, Sept. 20, 2014
So Caleb's a superior version of what Kim is becoming, it seems! Looks like we have an excellent candidate for Arch-Villain, despite his statements to the contrary! And I liked the "movies" line. Characters in stories who watch movies and have that culture feel more realistic. It works! No punch needed! XD
KimLuster at 7:16AM, Sept. 19, 2014
@Bravo: Well, I must say you've been right way more than you've been wrong, but I hope I've got some surprises coming even you didn't expect! From Caleb's point of view, he might think if they all knew about him, he might go from being the Head of the Project' to being strapped to a lab table himself! Assuming they could even catch him...! Kimber Lee probably could've escaped easily if she didn't have all those 'Loved Ones' she feels the need to protect - Caleb may have no such compunctions...! In any case, he has his reasons...
KimLuster at 6:47AM, Sept. 19, 2014
@Peipei: Yeah, she certainly shouldn't act rashly at this point, imo...
KimLuster at 6:46AM, Sept. 19, 2014
@tupapayon: Haha I think I got that...! I think...! :) Caleb means 'Dog'... in hebrew Hmmmm... That sorta makes sense now haha
bravo1102 at 6:11AM, Sept. 19, 2014
You know I got this feeling that someone at the secret facility knows Caleb's secret and would love to do some comparisons between him and Kim. But I can believe the soldiers not seeing it. Just don't play cards with him.
Peipei at 6:08AM, Sept. 19, 2014
Ah crap, looks like Kimber Lee has some competition...He can definitely take her family out very easily if he really wanted...I want to say that she shouldn't listen, but she kind of doesn't have a choice but to do what he says.
tupapayon at 5:40AM, Sept. 19, 2014
Oh... You don't know Jack... In other topic, do you know Caleb means dog? Now you do... I like the dialogue in this page... Jack's no your comic villain... Well... he is YOUR comic villain, but he's not.... Oh, never mind...
KimLuster at 4:49AM, Sept. 19, 2014
@plymayer: Thanks! - not sure why I sorta worried about it...
plymayer at 4:35AM, Sept. 19, 2014
‘the Kind we see in Movies’, is fine. It is how people speak and it gives the exact meaning he was conveying.
plymayer at 4:34AM, Sept. 19, 2014
Here we go.
