Hope everyone that celebrates it had a good thanksgiving!!
.
Well, I really can't note too much about this page without giving away which way I'm leaning with this latest plot development (will this keep me from winning that award next yea, ha…). I did mean it to be obvious Kimber Lee could hear them talking about her beyond the door… and they thought she couldn't!
.
The Colonel remains Mr. Congeniality…
.
Thanks for Reading Everone!

@ghosty: in the saddle!
KimLuster at 1:13PM, Dec. 1, 2015
@Lance: Thanks! I feared the dialogue was pushing the campy/melodramatic envelope! ;)
ghostrunner at 10:15AM, Dec. 1, 2015
and were back :D
LanceDanger at 9:41AM, Dec. 1, 2015
Great dialogue!

@El Cid: Yeah... she couldn't dream him away...!
El Cid at 10:34AM, Nov. 30, 2015
Well, crap. So he's still out there!
KimLuster at 8:17AM, Nov. 30, 2015
@Barry: Why thank you... (Big Smiles :D)... Ya know, Solipsism, the philosophical stance and belief that only 'the self' absolutely exists - all other ephemera, other beings, other minds are your own mental constructs... (Newborn Babies are Solipsists by default). Aggravatingly, this point of view cannot be logically disproven. It's only through the 'Principle of Belief Conservation' that we can somewhat dismiss it (see Philosophy for Dummies - of which I be one, that's why I bought the book)!

Curiouser and Curiouser. You really are a great writer, Kim. Sometimes I wonder if we're not ALL creating our own realities.
KimLuster at 4:45AM, Nov. 30, 2015
@plymayer: Yeah... enemy of my enemy! ;)
KimLuster at 4:45AM, Nov. 30, 2015
@Banes: Can't say much without spoilers! Just... keep those thoughts!
KimLuster at 4:40AM, Nov. 30, 2015
@Peipei: I hope it at least appears clearer in a few pages!
plymayer at 1:45AM, Nov. 30, 2015
Oh sure, now he is on "her side" giving the pep speech to a sick woman hoping she can still give him some help.
Banes at 9:11PM, Nov. 29, 2015
Aha! Intriguing! I like the metaphor too...the idea that we can more power than we realize to create our own lives and conditions. So Eli is still rampaging, eh? He left Kim for dead from the sounds of it. A little confusion is okay, but I know what you mean worrying about new readers being baffled. Staying the course is the right way to go!
Peipei at 7:18PM, Nov. 29, 2015
How far does this rabbit hole go x.x? So what the colonel is basically saying is she can dream away her cancer, or am I missing something here? And I do wonder, is there really a big scary guy destroying a town somewhere for real?
KimLuster at 6:25AM, Nov. 28, 2015
@skyangel: I hope I live up to your confidence...! This part of the story is supposed to be a little mysterious... But I do hope to pull it all back together not too far from this point, esp. starting next chapter (6 pages from now). I do have a dread fear that a reader or three may get irritated, considering everything a confusing mess instead of a mystifying puzzle, but I've sort of set my course. I do feel it will come together for everyone not too far from now, in a satisfactory manner, more or less... ;)
skyangel at 2:22AM, Nov. 28, 2015
I have to admit I'm getting a little confused between what is imagined and what is real but as the Godstrain itself is really the focal point of the story it doesn't really seem to matter so much any more. One thing I do love about this story is that it stirs my imagination and I'm always curious to see how it all unfolds as it goes and you've proven over and over what a competent writer you are so I always know the outcome is going to be worth waiting for!
KimLuster at 7:16PM, Nov. 27, 2015
@FC: Tropes are made to be flipped and broken! ;)
KimLuster at 7:15PM, Nov. 27, 2015
@Tom: I think you guessed closest to this development last page!
KimLuster at 7:14PM, Nov. 27, 2015
@Bravo: You know, you're right!! And keep Inigo Montoya in mind - 20 something pages from now ;)
KimLuster at 7:13PM, Nov. 27, 2015
@Tupapayon: I love me some Sam...!!
fallopiancrusader at 11:48AM, Nov. 27, 2015
Ha, it's the "I thought it was reality but it was just a dream after all" trope stood on its head: Now it's "I thought it was a dream, but it was just a reality after all"
Call Me Tom at 11:02AM, Nov. 27, 2015
Okay now I'm realy want to see the next page!
bravo1102 at 7:32AM, Nov. 27, 2015
Colonels are never nice in these stories. All they can think about are their chances for making general. Like Indigo Mantyua said back to the beginning.
tupapayon at 7:06AM, Nov. 27, 2015
That's what denial looks lkike with he Godstrain.. and just for fun, read the Colonel's dialogue with the voice of Samuel L. Jackson...
