There's this wonderful wacky graphic novel I read recently, call Moonshadow, about a young man's misadventures throughout the cosmos. Despite the zaniness, the story has a poignant, often tear-jerking flow throughout… It also has this alien race, known as the G'L-Doses, a “powerful, mysterious alien race of beings ruled largely by whim.” I might say their appearance has some inspiration for the initial appearance of the Godstrain manifestation here! :)
Sidenote: The Moonshadow story also has this major supporting character, called Ira - he's an utterly contemptible ass-hat, but there's something good deep inside him Moonshadow sees (or maybe Moonshadow is blind haha). Ira looks an awful lot like Banes' avatar! Coincidence? I think not (haha)
Anyway, the Godstrain Manifestation doesn't keep the smily-face shape for long. The Jesus Shape I'm not too happy with, but the two Goddesses at the bottom make me pretty pleased!! Can anyone guess which two Goddesses these are?!! (astute googlers can find images I used to model for these)
Thanks for Reading Everyone!!

Fascinating turn of events, I'm intrigued!

@Szyszka: Thanks! I'd like to say it gets better!!
KimLuster at 6:36AM, July 31, 2016
@Banes: Yeah, the DT novels got awfully weird later on but I don't regret finishing them - and yeah, they connect with all of SKs stuff... Remember Father Callahan from Salem's Lot...? He shows up!
KimLuster at 6:30AM, July 31, 2016
@Z74: Hey I like such an idea of God as well...!!
KimLuster at 6:28AM, July 31, 2016
@Jeremy: He I'm on the beach right now, so no long answer :D Well, for a webcomic, getting the page out at a reasonable time is something I've been trying to balance with getting better... My current method is sort of a compromise between getting a page out every 5 days or so and it looking halfway decent... But when I get back I'm certainly gonna consider the advice of an artists of your caliber
Szyszka666 at 3:11AM, July 31, 2016
Wow, this page looks amazing! Kiber must be very confused though...
Banes at 7:45PM, July 30, 2016
Ah, yes! I've read the first two and a half novels of the Dark Tower (I loved the first two and it lost me halfway through the third). My understanding is that that series ties most of Stephen King's various works together by visiting different realities and so forth. Makes sense that IT's cousin might show up. I love the idea of Roland almost dying by laughing! It's understandable that chuckles would be a danger to such a dour fella!
Z74 at 7:09PM, July 30, 2016
I like the idea of God presenting his herself in whatever form the viewer can understand as being God, it's part of my eclectic religious view ! Even if he/she shows up as a giant lemon head candy!

You've improved a lot since the first pages. What kind of paper are you using? I don't know much about watercolor. FWIW I think you have to get away from drawing the outlines of what's there, and begin by drawing the tonal patterns. That's my current opinion, it could change tomorrow. But anyway it's easy to make tonal patterns digitally, then pull the stuff you want out of the patterns. Working traditionally, I guess you'd have to do a bunch of thumbnails to find a pattern that worked. What a PITA.
KimLuster at 4:38AM, July 30, 2016
@Jeremy: Pen and Watercolor, with some digital enhancements once I scan them in...
Jeremy Ray at 1:00AM, July 30, 2016
What medium are you working with?
KimLuster at 4:34AM, July 29, 2016
@Peipei: Haha thanks - my fave Goddess is probably Isis (I remember her from Cartoons)!
Peipei at 8:52PM, July 28, 2016
Oooh look at all these gods and goddesses! My favorite goddess of all is on this page (Kali), if I were Kimber, I wouldn't want to cross paths with old Kali here...
KimLuster at 7:53PM, July 28, 2016
@tupapayon: dang now I want marshmallows!!
tupapayon at 2:14PM, July 28, 2016
"choose the form of the Destructor"...
KimLuster at 9:59AM, July 28, 2016
@Banes: it pleases me to no end this is provoking this much thought - everything you mentioned will be delved into, continuing with the next page!! Hope you like it!! I like the IT analogy!! Have you ever read Stephen King's Dark Tower novels? *spoiler* There's a character, Dandelo, who nearly kills the protagonist Roland by doing stand-up comedy and making Roland nearly laugh to death (literally); he seems to feed off it. When Roland kills him he turns into a spider creature. The consensus is that Dandelo is likely of the same Eldritch Species as Pennywise!
Banes at 8:27AM, July 28, 2016
What about the Great Turtle who belched out the Universe? Isn't that a thing? I wonder if the Godstrain has a true form at all (or one that's comprehensible to humans). I think of Stephen King's "IT", where the being manifests as a clown, and below that is a giant spider, which is the closest analogue to the real It that the human senses can process. The truth behind the spider is incomprehensible to us, other than some terrifying "deadlights". Okay, I'm giving myself the creeps again...

@Jerrie: Me too - I like Emojis of all kinds - still put the old school ones on the end of sentences! :D And Yes, Pac-Man was a God! A Bad One! He took a few of my sacrificial quarters and never game me much in return!! }:)
jerrie at 10:59AM, July 27, 2016
I used to suspect Pacman was a god back when that video game was hot! Now this comic confirms it!!!!!
jerrie at 10:58AM, July 27, 2016
I like the big smiley face
KimLuster at 9:58AM, July 27, 2016
@Barry: Thanks! Yes very much so...! And you wanna see the Real Godstrain, eh?!! ;)
BarryCorbett at 8:49AM, July 27, 2016
Yes, excellent page. You must have had fun doing the Gods. Can't wait to meet the real Godstrain.
KimLuster at 4:42AM, July 27, 2016
@jgib99: Thank You!!
jgib99 at 6:33PM, July 26, 2016
Love how your drew the deities. Amazing page!
KimLuster at 4:50PM, July 26, 2016
@Bravo: Honestly, I agonized (well, mulled...) over what deities to use... Ishtar, Krishna, Shiva, Mother Mary, Horus... Many just missed the cut!! But the modern God E-Mo-Ji, had to be in there!!
