I'm rather proud of that panel with Arc leaning on his tail with the view of the city in the background. ^^
By the way, I'm wondering:
What kind of incentives would ya'll like to see on Top Web Comics in the future?
Wallpaper-type stuff, concept art, rough drafts of panels or pages?… I'm open to suggestions and requests on this. ^^
And I might not have mentioned this before, but I'll post fanart on the homepage, should anyone make any… :D
Send me a message here or on Deviant Art with a link, I'd honestly love to see anything ya'll come up with. (Winces, envisioning barrage of hardcore yuri/yaoi/yiff/other categories beginning with ‘y’…)
Okay, almost anything. XD
Seriously, though, I'd love to see what ya'll come up with.^^

Malcom is the one whispering back, actually, but you have the right idea otherwise, Arc's kind of muttering under his breath. Probably could have placed that tail on the speach bubble better. P: As for elapsed time, its been just under a week since Kyra first arrived at the base in at the beginning of Book 1, but remember: regardless of how she feels about them, if a defector from the Greening under her supervision, on a team that does not officially exist, freaks out or gets shot in a UCM terminal there's going to be a heck of a lot of paperwork for her to fill out. XD

I like Arc sitting on his tail too. Excellent panel. The cityscape is intriguing ... looks like Brasov is somewhat thriving metropolis, da? It's amazing what a thriving tourist trade can do for a small town. Not sure that I'd go along with Arc whispering his comments. Unless he hadn't intended for Sarge to hear at all. Which would then explain her whispering in reply. And I am wondering ... how much time has elapsed between the Sergeant being assigned to the team and the current panel? She seems to have become quite sympathetic to Arc and Cassie in a pretty short time. I'm getting the feeling that more than a day or two have elapsed here? Re: Breeding. I hadn't given it any thought before Karretch mentioned it. But, another possibility with their breeding is sterile hybrids. And yes, horses and zebras have been sucessfully bred since the 19th century; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zebroid But then, dogs and cats can't be hybridized (yet). then again, otters and humans can't either ... though the Greening seems to have succeeded there in a way. As for voting incentives ... whatever you put up, I'll probably love. Come to think of it, a good wallpaper image would be awesome.

By the way, really glad you like the story so far! I love having readers who comment, too, and feel free to ask questions any time, If I can answer them without giving spoilers I will, and if I can't I get to sound all cryptic and mysterious, which is fun. XD Great way to spark new ideas, too; never know what will give me some idea that ends up in the story. :D

Its a valid question. :) It varies, more cosmetic types of splices, say a tail, really wouldn't change much genetics-wise. Kind of like people born with a tail, or six fingers, or whatever. They could have a kid with a normal human, and it would be up to inheritance rules if the kid had a tail or not. As for the more extreme mixers, that would depend a lot on whether their genes could mix properly, and produce something that could survive. Two parents with identical splices, like two lanterns for example, pretty good chance. Beyond that, though... roll of the dice at best. Think horse and zebra, both equines, and can breed, but it doesn't always work. Think a lot would depend on how much "human" was left in their genomes. Kind of glad you asked that, sparked a few ideas here. XD

All caught up, loving your world and concept. Thinking on it, it's kind of similar to a story idea I took from a dream with anthro-theric beings coming about because of science gone mad. One thing that came to mind while reading, and I'm kind of ashamed to ask, but can the Greening subjects breed? Otherwise great story, looking forward to more, and all that jazz.
