In case anyone was wondering why I haven't updated in almost two months.

Sorry.

I suppose the weirdest thing was that my page views didn't drop below 100.

My sincere apologies to any loyal fans who kept checking every day hoping for an update.

Not sure when I'll have a working computer with Photoshop on it & I hope I can get the cartoons I worked on & finished off my old one. (I would hate to have to rescan & redo them.)

Anyone have any experience hooking up an old Mac running System 7 with a new Mac running Leopard?

For physically connecting them, you would need an Ethernet cable (possibly two if the newer Mac lacks wireless, which is probably unlikely) and some kind of hub or router. Then to actually make the connection, you would first need to know the hostname (in OSX you set this in System Preferences under... I think Networking; in OS7-9 it's in a Control Panel somewhere, maybe File Sharing or TCP/IP or something like that), and then make the connection (I forget how to do this on Classic since I haven't used it in a long time, but on OSX it's as simple as going to the Go menu in the Finder, typing in "hostname.localhost" where hostname is your hostname, pressing OK, and then logging in with your username and password on the other computer. It's similar in principle on Classic, but not quite as simple to find.). Sorry if that's not very helpful.

Thanks all! :-) Celtic Minstrel - The CD-Rom drive on the old 'puter died years ago, so updating anything that needs that is a no go. Yes, I did mean networking them.

If you have an old PowerMac running System 7, then I'd recommend upgrading it to Tiger if possible; if it's not a PowerMac, then Mac OS 9 if possible. That aside, I'm not sure what you mean by "hooking up". Do you mean networking two Macs together, or something else?

I hear ya, dude. I was pissed off when I found out my Photoshop 7 wouldn't work on my brand-new MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard. :/
