Costume Protest

There was a recent news story about people protesting a Pocahontas costume for Halloween and I could not understand the problem.
Don't all little girls (& little boys) dress up as someone because there is something they like, or admire, about the person?

This reminds me of that woman upset at HobbyLobby for cotton decor. Saying it was racist. WTH?
