Filler: Grik-Nor and The Rain Spirit Page 1

I wasn't sure what to do for a filler this week and asked some people I knew for opinions. I got the suggestion that I should draw Grik-nor and show what he looked like. I was a little hesitant to define him, because he's supposed to stand-in for everybody, so I don't think he has a specific look in the stories.
But I kind of liked the idea of doing something with Grik-nor, and decided to tell the story that Jaith told while they were walking back here: Grik-nor and the rain spirit.
So the fillers from now until it ends will be the telling of this folk tale. I'm not too worried about how slowly it'll come together, folk tales don't tend to have much drama, or wicked cliff hangers, so it should be fine even at this slow pace. As for the style, as I said, I didn't really want to define Grik-nor at all. He should be different to everyone - he's a folk hero. So, I'm drawing the characters basically as silhouettes, only not filled in. Very little detail, just the basics. I hope it's not too off-putting.
This is also just the basic tale, I imagine Jaith adds lots of details and embellishments when he tells it. I'm just going to be relaying the essential story.
At any rate, it should make the fillers a bit more fun for a while. :D
Thanks for reading! See you next week!

I'm back again. It was quite wonderful to read through a few chapters of TM! I think the journey will be good for them. Despite it all, I think real-Tren-an might be planning something revolutionary for the Boetheri.

yes, he's wonderfully vague ! that's the most redeeming attribute of any fantasy hero... some guy who's substantial enough to acquire importance and real presence, but who's also vague and empty enough for any of us to enter his narrative, assume his role... (that's why Paul Atreides, Harry Potter, etc. are such wonderful heroes... becuz they're SO vague!)

Lupina - not as soon as you'd like, I imagine. ^_^; It's going to be the fillers from now on, so the next page will be at the end of the next chapter.

Those clothes look fairly nice compared to what the Boetheri wear now. it kind've represents a different time as well as a classic legend...

Nice! For some reason they look awfully realistic like this. Very fitting of a folk tale narration.
