@tupapayon - I've gone through brief periods of buying scratch tickets, but only occasionally. I was quite obsessed with gambling many years ago, which obviously did not do my finances any favors. Aside from the aforementioned occasional "cash for life" ticket, free Poker on the iPhone is how I scratch that itch when it hits me these days.

My father has always been a very intelligent man, he doesn't believe in luck (or anything supernatural, including God). But I always knew he played lottery, so i asked him why, because the odds of winning are very, very, very low... he told me he knew that, but even if the odds are minimal, one ticket buyer is going to win, but you'd never win without a ticket... he never won...
