My alma mater Marshall has two libraries. The new one is called Drinko (named after someone, of course). It has lots of openness and glass, cool rounded architecture, a big computer lab, a couple auditorium spaces, and a Starbucks. The old library is Morrow. When I was there (and now too, I'm sure), it was just a law library. Full of legal documents. I went there only a couple times for research into the archives in the creepy basement, known as “The Stacks.” Morrow was usually entirely dark and empty, mostly a storage place. If there was ever a horror/survival movie set at Marshall, it would be in that library.

The setting of Used Books is based (rather loosely with tons of liberties) on Huntington, WV. As such, Seiko's alma mater, Highlawn University, is based loosely on Marshall.

plymayer: Thanks. I'm glad you are following Tristan's awkwardness and relationship. I have found that stories get easier to write over time, particularly dialogue and reactions of established characters.

Anubis: Crime may not pay, but education tends to pay less. :P

Peipei: Yeah. They sorta are. :3
