I like this page. I had to tweak the balloon placement a little in some of the editing steps, but it really made the layout work. While I was drawing this page, my dog was lying in the second panel pose – but without a duck toy. He has had a couple duck toys but they were very quickly disemboweled and shredded. My dog is not gentle with inanimate objects.

Great dialogue here! Very apt parallel too.

Thanks! I enjoy rattlesnakes myself. (We have them in the mountains where I work.)

Thanks, Fluffy. Copperheads and rattlesnakes are both extremely docile and only strike if in imminent danger. In general, venomous snakes avoid using venom for defense because it costs energy to produce and they need it to feed themselves. That's why baby snakes are more dangerous than adults. They have not learned to conserve energy (or venom) yet. (Some venomous snakes are aggressive, but these colder climate species have to conserve all they can.)
