fukujinzuke: Good points. I tried playing with an effect that made it seem that tried to simulate that the whole plane was shaking, but it ended up making the image unreadable. Should have worked in what you suggested.

Nice, Dan! I think some more extreme dramatic angles (like a camera from their feet pointing up past them toward the ceiling) on the panic-stricken passengers could help the tension of the atmosphere. That angle could show stuff overhead storage compartments busting open, oxygen masks releasing, passengers unconsciously gripping at their arm rests, etc.
