I am really racing to finish a lot of art for a Comic Con I will be attending in Athens… and I wanted to talk about it, and I am sure I had things to say about the page, but right now I'm bushed, and all I can hope for is you enjoy this one, and leave me a comment.
Arthur's shoulderboards are on upside down. Guess he was in a hurry that morning. :) The button was screwed onto a post in the seam of the tunic near the collar.
Dragonrider: Yes that's right. Which is why this particular German fellow we see here is Wehrmacht Heer (Not SS or Luftwaffe obviously), freshly imported to Greece, and a pretty important character in the story.
He doesn't get to be named just yet, but he's Arthur- can't wait to give him his real lines :D
Quote the boss:However this one at least spared a kid. I'd remember that if I were you ;)

Not to get into a philosophical discussion here but most of the Wehrmacht, with the exception of the Luftwaffe and the Waffen-SS were fairly decent people they committed the atrocities because it was do it or die the Waffen-SS Officers and troops stood behind them and would have killed anyone who didn't follow orders. This fact was acknowledged for many NCO's and lower ranks of officers at Nuremberg, the "Nuremberg Defense" of I only did what I was ordered was not help as valid for the higher ranks because they were not at risk with the threat of an immediate bullet in the back should they say no.
The other branch of the Wehrmacht, the Kriegsmarine or Navy were, for the most part from families who had served the Kaisers for decades and were honor bound in traditions based in the old Knights Code of Chivalry, the followed orders sunk enemy ships when captured gave their parole and honored their word there were of course exceptions but in the main they were honorable.
All right class there will be a test over this material and the war years from 1939 to 1945 in the morning.
Hahahaha! That's the exact difference I want to show!
Arthur here is Wehrmacht Heer come fresh from abroad to serve in Athens :) And he's actually not just a mook, he's a pretty important character in WM.
And that let the cat out of the bag! XD But at least it's no spoiler. :p

dragonrider: It's DD's garbled version of lower case Ω with an accent apparently. Ευχαριστ&# 969; was the word. :p
Genejoke: Thanks! :D Glad to have you on board :)
dragonrider: Thank you! I have had a lot of help in my research for accuracy :)
As for the nazis, that IS their SOP, isn't it? However this one at least spared a kid. I'd remember that if I were you ;)
usedbooks: Very true!
Well the Nazi's are living up to their SOP;
When in danger,
Or in doubt,
Grab the locals,
Shoot and shout.
Tantz, you have certainly found your niche with the WWII genre you present it well and you do your homework for accuracy.
Μπράβο φίλε μου, πράγματι, καλά κάνει.
