And here we go, the first our of the three pages of the epilogue!
Cameos today are, Sally Dean of course, of JNP's ambitious The Devon Legacy and Keith,
and Siilas of Jenshin's staggering Two Moons, as Zou-Zou's keeper for the time being (if you recall she plays the role of an FBI operative :) )
Hope you like this page! I considered putting posters on the hospital corridor walls, but in my experience, most hospital walls are boring, blank and generally ominous…
Second page is going to be up Wednesday, and Wolf will officially end on Friday!!
Keith must not have a coin to flip. That's totally how this particular Keith would decide things!
Then I would have thrown it towards Zou Zou and hoped she started chasing it while I made my escape!
If doctors could do anything David would have grown wings and flew away instead of went splat XD They can however still give Zou Zou the huge bill whether or not they save either of them!
Ah, neither of them will want to live without the other anyway, so it's probably best to let 'em both die and have an early night down at the pub!
As for Zou Zou - boy, has she got a lot to learn about doctors!
usedbooks: Dr. Keith is a surgeon, and definitely stays away from kids, but as you'll see (I hope) he's got his heart in the right place.
Surgeons need to be able to put distance between their patients and themselves, or theymay lose their capacity to perform well. That's why he is speaking to Sally that way, to make sure she's too pissed off at him to stop and think of the ramifications of NOT saving someone.
Because right now they know that of Dave and Zoe, they must pick one to just 'ease' into death, and another to invest on healing.
But hey, Zou is healthy! ...
Dr. Keith is not a gentle handler of subtlety, diction, or discretion is he? I hope he's not a pediatrician. "Okay lady, the kid's got cancer, and he'll probably be worm food by the end of the month. If you'd seen me earlier we could've don't something, but don't blame yourself." XD -- I bet surgeons do talk that way though. In surgery, you have to be detached, right?
Zou Zou gets yet another opportunity to be schooled in the harsh realities of life far before her time. Procedure, Zou Zou! You don't save the one who's a "better" person. You save the one who's most likely to be saved. Just have to hope they are one in the same.
Most kids get to learn this life and death stuff when their hamster dies instead of at the hospital.

JNP: very true, but this was the only way to convince them both to... well do what they'll decide to do tomorrow. ;)

They BOTH have to live or they both die together as heroes. Geez, Dr. Keith...you took an oath, man ^_^.

Dr. Keith will probably clobber me for letting ZouZou listen in on his banter when he wasn't aware of it. XD

Heh. I almost forgot that you (and Dr. Keith) were a big fan of House. XD
