Okay, I think I've drawn some people in with that crazy title.
I'm one of those people that thinks he's an ‘artist’ and I'd like to be able to use both my tablet and my photoshop at the same time.

Ever since I installed my Bamboo drivers however I can't get photoshop to work. Every time I start it up it stops at the ‘initializing tools’ bit. I am working with a bamboo ctl-460 and I use the Adobe CS3 package.

If I de-install the drivers then after a few restarts photoshop starts working again, but the tablet doesn't…

People Help!

Maybe try downloading a more recent driver from the wacom site.

Yeah, that was my first guess too, it had the same results.

Hmm.
Try reinstalling Photoshop instead?
Or, try uninstalling your Wacom drivers completely then download some much older Wacom drivers for the Bamboo and see if those work.

New drivers dont always work the best, especially with Wacom products I've found.

That's worth a try, now if I can find the install files of photoshop on my ext. hard drive…
