I'm surprised how many people can listen to so many whole albums. Usually there are two or three tracks per album that I just cant listen to (even with Oingo Boingo which I dont shut up about so there you go).

I think my appreciate for music is just uptight. D:

I guess I'm odd in that I almost always listen to the complete album. I guess after listening to one repeatedly I may skip a track, so here is a list that I never EVER skip a track while listening to.

The Cure: Disintegration
Radiohead: Kid A
Moby: Play
Weezer: Pinkerton
Depeche Mode: Ultra

There are probably more but those are heavy on my playlist, and I never skip a track.

It's a Grizzly Bear battling Zombies. Do you need to know more?

…there is always ONE song that I can't stand and I end up skipping over it. but I guess these are the closest I've ever come:

-some “best of REM” CD that I can't remember the exact title of.
-Imogen Heap's “iMegaphone” (except “Sleep”. I just. I just can't do it man, that song is so boring and so out of place)
-Imogen Heap's “Speak For Yourself”
-Frou Frou's “Details”. There is one track on the CD that's scratched really bad so I HAVE to skip over it, and it sucks because I like that particular song.

Obituary - Slowly We Rot

Obituary - Cause of Death

Behemoth - Demigod

Immortal - Pure Holocaust

Gorgoroth - Pentagram

And thats pretty much it.

I've never heard of any of these and I can tell they're death metal. They need to get more creative with the names.

EDIT: Oh God, what a bump…
i will also like to know you the more

EDIT: Oh God, what a bump…

My roommate was in a screamo band. He would play screamo all the time, as loud as he could. Sometimes it wouldnt be so bad, sometimes it was just funny, but most of the time I just couldnt listen to it. The worst was when he would play screamo versions of non-screamo popular songs. Ever hear the screamo version of Bicycle?

You dont want to. No one wants to because it's just a bad idea and the people who made it are bad.

Also oboy look at all the times I used the word “screamo” in this post i hate screamo music

Hm…

Daft Punk - Human After All
Gorillaz - Demon Days
SOiL - Re.de.fine
SOiL - True Self
Mastodon - Crack the Skye
Dethklok - The Dethalbum
Lincoln Park - Hybrid Theory

That's actually a short list.
But I pretty much like all the songs from these albums.

At the moment, I think The Dethalbum and Crack the Skye are the top 2 I listen to.
Followed by Human After All.
Then the 3 others.

@Ifelldownthestairs: we appear to have spookingly similar tastes in music. :)

Björk, Dead Kennedys, TOOL, Radiohead, NIN, Incubus and Massive Attack = awesome.

In addition to the previously mentioned, I'd add

-Frances The Mute, by The Mars Volta
-S.C.I.E.N.C.E., Make Yourself and Morning View by Incubus
-Yield, by Pearl Jam
-Toxicity, by System of A Down
-13th Step, by A Perfect Circle (I fucking LOVE this album.)
-Led Zeppelin (Y'know, the first album.)
-10'000 Days, Undertow, by TOOL (Undertow doesn't get enough love.)
-Emergency On Planet Earth, by Jamiroquai

Whoop, great to see other TMV-fans out here, none of my friends get it. And I quite agree that the new Volta has been a major letdown.

Quite a few, actually. I'm a very tolerant listener I guess.

Here's a sampling…

Radiohead - OK Computer
Isaac Hayes - Hot Buttered Soul
Frank Zappa - Hot Rats
Miles Davis - A Tribute to Jack Johnson
Metallica - Ride the Lightning
The Clash - London Calling
Curtis Mayfield - Superfly
John Coltrane - Giant Steps
Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back
Eugene Ormandy - Beethoven's 9th Symphony
The Beatles - Abbey Road
James Brown - In The Jungle Groove
The 2001: A Space Odyssey Soundtrack
Funkadelic - Standing On The Verge of Gettin' It On
David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust

The Fantasia Soundtrack
Willie Nelson - Songbird
Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks
Vince Guaraldi - A Charlie Brown Christmas
Rage Against the Machine - The Battle of Los Angeles
Wendy Carlos - Switched On Bach 2000

That looks long enough. If I go any further it'll devolve into a list of random albums that I listen to a lot. (Not that it hasn't done that already)

aren't you dissappointed 2010: The Year We Make Contact had no classical music in it. It wasn't Kubrick who directed it that's why.
