I still remember a lot of the movie Beaches. The woman who died here was the main character's “BFF” (from my understanding anyway). I think if I were THAT close to someone and saw them pass away long before they should have I'd be walking around as if someone had torn a huge chunk from my soul… or something like that.

First movies to come to mind…
Grave of the Fireflies….just….Grave of the Fireflies.
The ending of Pan's Labyrinth. That just tugs at me heart strings.
*Ahem* The death of the kid in Pet Sematary.

When the lion died in Secondhand lions,
The end of Benjamin buttons,
I have this weird soft spot for all disney movies besides chicken little, mulan, and lilo/stitch.

Not movie but the ending of mother3 when you talk to everybody-they were tears of real happiness though.

When Obi-wan Kenobi dies in Star Wars.

And when Anakin turns to the dark side.

Billy vs. Tree – The epic struggle of boy versus tree.
Sonic Colores – It looks like it's going to be a good game because I love how the way it makes me grow.

Marley & Me.

Saddest…movie…EVER.

Seriously, both my husband and I were bawling through the whole thing. It's one of those movies where it deceives you into thinking it's cute and funny, but do not be deceived! It's a bawl-fest, through and through! Don't say I didn't warn you.

Yeah, I'm uncool.

Forrest Gump, the scene when he's saying goodbye to his dead wife.

“You tell yourself to just
enjoy the process,” he added. “That whether you succeed or fail, win or
lose, it will be fine. You pretend to be Zen. You adopt detachment, and
ironic humor, while secretly praying for a miracle.”

I can't watch that kind of movies…I'm such a crybaby…

I cried at the end of Pan's Labyrinth.
I cried at the end of Billy Elliot.
I cried at the entire I Am Sam.
I cried at the end of The Wrestler.
I cried at the end of The Life is Beautiful.
I still cry with An American Tale.

I cried with Big Fish, Green Mile, Lion King (at Mufasa's Death)…If I know that there is the slightest chance of tears, I just stay away from the movie…

Once I start to cry, I can't stop…

i dont remember the last time i cried…i think back in 01 when my grandmother died.

as far as movies go, i got teary during speed racer qute a few times. like the scene when susan sarandon is talking to speed on the bed…when sparky says “im looking forward to that cold milk” and speed whispers “me too”…when the montage of scenes are going on in the last race and we hear speeds mom say “when i see the things you do it takes my breath away” and then he crests the hill..

I don't usually cry during movies because I can see those moments coming… but sometimes if something takes me by surprise I'll get all choked up.

Evidence 1: Goddamn Plague Dogs … at least three times.
Evidence 2: Farenheit 9/11, there's 3-5 minutes at the beginning of just audio footage and black screen, it's really horrible to listen to. I guess that's the intention, but it felt kind of like a low blow.

I never really cry during movies, but the last third of Click really got to me. When Adam Sandler sees himself blowing off his dad for the last time. That was really powerful, and would have made the movie a lot deeper and less cartoony if they didn't decide to wipe it all out at the end.
I am so happy to finally be back home

I watched marley and me the week my dog died, i only cried during it's inevitable end because it reminded me so much of how she went.

I totally forgot about Plague dogs, shit i had a dry lump in my throat through that whole movie, really well done.

I am a softy and sentimental type.
I ditto Sea Cow's thoughts on Click.
With being a father and how Adam Sandler's character is trying to relate to his daughter near the end of the movie really struck a cord in me.
As I mentioned in the thread about UP the first 30 minutes of the movie made me ball like a baby.

God, I cry so easily at movies. I cried at Pan's Labyrinth, American Beauty, The Fall, The Notebook, Benjamin Button, Grave of the Fireflies, Millennium Actress, Edward Sissorhands, Crash, and hundreds of other movies I can't think of right now.
I even cried a little at the end of Superbad. Who the Hell cries at Superbad? There's something seriously wrong with my tear ducts.

You're not alone. I cry over the littlest thing as well, in movies as well as in real life. I cry at lifetime movies and dammit, I watch that shit all the way through! I don't care, I have a vagina- it is perfectly acceptable!

I think some of the worst times would be… Tarzan (when I was younger at least), Midnight Cowboy, The Outsiders, parts of Gone With the Wind, Citizen Kane, Benjamin buttons… there's more, but you get the idea.

i cried during the dark knight (my mom died in the theater).

i get misty easy during movies, i'm a crybaby and a half. no matter how many times i see these scenes in movies, they will still get me:

dumbo: my mommy's a mad elephant (trumps bambi's mom any day of the week)
crash: I'M NOT GONNA HURT YOU LADY
life is beautiful: we won!
dancer in the dark: hmm… we don't get many singing prisoners
requiem for a dream: soon millions of people will see me and THEY'LL ALL LIKE ME
shawshank redemption: brooksie!!!
glory: COME ON FIFTY FOOUUURTH
you know why birds don't write their memoirs? because birds don't lead epic lives, that's why. who'd want to read what a bird does? nobody. that's who.

lol @ ur whole post, especially remembering how matthew broderick dies right after he yells that in glory.

personally, i can want to cry during movies, but it rarely happens. sort of an impotence. but the movies that usually push me over the top are ones where dogs or children die or are in some sort of danger. one time i cried during grey's anatomy when they put a dog to sleep. i do hate those “low blows” a la michael moore films (ex the fahrenheit 9/11 clip of the lady bawling). they do about as much for me as smooth jazz does. another example would be the kids in babel- i HATED them. although i just watched amores perros and it got me teary.
also, all the park chan wook movies.
