I ask this question because this summer is my last summer before I go away for a higher education. In this, my parents are forcing me to work for this program that I really dislike very deeply because it's about something that I really dislike doing, and I have to reside in a terrible neighborhood. This program is really making me hate my life, not that I don't have any hope for the future, because I do. But is anyone else beginning to hate their life as of now?

Actually, lately things have been going really well for me. But bad things keep happening to everyone around me, so that's been making me feel kind of bad.

I still haven't met anyone since my ex-fiancee and I broke up back in October, but things are otherwise decent. My job is good and I have many creative projects. It's not the most glamorous time, but it's not a bad one either.

Well, let's see…

My dad is having heart problems, and most likely has to get some kind of surgery done. All while that, my mom is freaking out over it, worrying herself to death, and keeps fighting with my dad. Thus, making him more stressed out, increasing his blood pressure, and giving him more heart problems.

Pretty much any time I go for a girl, something happens, and I end up getting f'ed over. I end up falling for them hard, something happens, and then I get hurt bad.

But, I suppose I have to keep my head up. I'm still young yet. And I just have to make things work.

That Ryuthehedgewolf guy blanks me all the time which makes me feel like crap all the time cos I only wanted to be in his gang and hang out all the time…

I wouldn't say I hate my life anymore. I'm trying to come to terms with a lot of shit. I've started to see existence as more of an abstract concept and I've sort of detached from my role in life, which means I don't have to feel connected emotionally to anything. It's liberating, in a way. Whenever I feel unhappy, I just remember that what I think to be myself is nothing but a conglomeration of particles in a single endless entity, so I can never truly “die”. Right now, I'm somewhere between total existentialism and Nirvana.

Actually i'm just starting to get my shit in order/get my life back together. I've picked a real degree to get, my teeth are near perfect besides that shitty wisdom tooth glarblefgf, and my hair is growing out again from the last terrible terrible haircut i suffered. (goddamn blind gay bastard one day i shall end you! :gem: ) Also my art skills are improving steadily and i get many compliments on my lineart(something i never got before)

Romance wise my life sucks ass. I've given up on finding it for now, but if it comes i'll be ready.

I still have this delusional nagging in the back of my mind that i'm destined to do some great worth-while thing in my life, and maybe i am, but as far as i'm concerned everyone thinks this way at some point.

Well I was hating my life at the begining of summer. I couldn't find a job to help pay bills, Doctors said my mom wouldn't be able to get anything from her work related injury, My rich uncle said he wouldn't help me with college expense and I should find a job instead, I don't have a GF and I thought I failed a class.

But now its alright. Found out I got 3.4 and I basicly decided screw my family I'll just go into debt with loans if I have too. Also hangin out with friends helps.

I'm going through a long period where things aren't going right for me. My mom has been having plenty of health issues including heart problems. I haven't found Miss Right. And my current job sucks hard. But I keep telling myself that things will get better soon. Never give up.

It's like when you're playing a real time strategy game- All your bases are well guarded with sentry turrets, you've got a good army of soldiers and tanks ready to defend against any attacks or attack someone else if needed, and your mines are just piling up resources.
But at the moment you've got nothing to do with all those extra resources because you're against all the building caps for everything! You shouldn't really go off and invade because your troops and tanks aren't at a high enough level and you can't upgrade them to that level until you've finished some time consuming research that's taking forever to complete…

Truthfully, you could probably mount a good invasion, but without you're guys being high level it's a really risky proposal and you could lose them all- which would be fatal if your base was then to come under attack. So instead you just sit around piling up resources and exploring while you wait…

I dunno things are looking up for me these days… and none too soon neither, I'll be thirty in a few months…

I'm really enjoying writing and drawing my comic at the moment, even got a side project in the works… I'm spending more time with my daughter after hiring a lawyer and telling my ex to pull her head in the legal way (instead of resorting to swearing and anger)… I keep messing things up with the woman of my dreams and it seems that everytime I screw up she bounces back to me and things were stronger than before… yep, all you grumpy motherfuckers can suck it up and kiss my merry Marmite loving arse!

Kind of. I know what's wrong, and I know how to fix it, I just can't get up and do it though. I need to hurry and get motivated because it's all going down the shithole pretty damn fast.

I have huge discounts on my favorite paints and supplies from my job, plenty of money for the time being, even if it's not as much as I wanted it's decent enough, a good-looking nice girlfriend, a gallery to put my work in and a decent car to drive. I do have a few health issues from painting and being overweight and I still haven't found a place to live for the next year of school, but that's life. All good with the bad. Heck, I woke up on someone's back porch the other night, but it was the best night of sleep I've had in a couple months.

Play command and conquer: Zero Hour.

There are no unit caps (you can make units as long as you have the cash to do it) and your units wont level up unless they get combat experience. Very few upgrades.

All that matters in that game is the CASH, THE CASH, and THE CASH.

If you got alot of cash while you cut off your enemy's supply lines (many ways to do it but my favorite tactic is blockading them), the game is all yours.

This is an interesting time to live in.

We have a world thats ALWAYS on the brink of a nuclear confrontation (but most of the time its just saber rattling on ALL SIDES) and a world that is headed towards the direction of a total police-state takeover and the destruction of all liberty.

On a low level, I think this sucks.

Nope. I'm pretty happy with where I am just now. Nothing exciting is happening but I'm more of a ‘I like things calm and steady’ kind of person. When I want to shake things up and change I can usually do so.

I wouldn't say that I hate my life. But I am getting to that age where I look back and go: “I probably shouldn't have done that.” or “I should have done this.” But other than a few life choices life is good.

Real time Strategy games (which tend to have little to do with real world war-fighting ;) ) are an interesting analogy. You pursue goals that are often an illusion. The game will beat you because you can't persist like you can on a real battlefield. Computer War games rarely let you grasp victory from the jaws of defeat. That's a problem with the random number generators, at times they're just not random enough. Not too many RTS games let you pull off the Miracle at Midway and conversely MacClellan always destroys Lee at Antietam.

Eh, that's because they're about resource management. They're like a bastard mix of a management and hostile colonisation scenario using a pseudo war theme. The best way to do well is good management, not clever strategy. Usually.

I'm a bit slow with RTS games myself. I prefer the 4X games, especially the Sci Fi ones (current favorite is Galactic Civilizations II).

I thought my life would stabilized, but now it's going haywire again and it's mostly work related this time too. We got military moving in from Japan; things are going be lively with all those marines here (and my job will be harder if my experience with the Marines is any indication)…

This year hasn't been the best for a lot of people. My grandmother died of cancer a few months ago, my parents and bf don't get along and I'm fighting with both sets to try to get along. I've started Grad school and feel as though I don't know where my life is going to be anymore (once im done with it). Everyone around me is getting sick or having heart attacks. Stress from work, school, family and friends.

I'm getting along okay though. The best reasoning that I use when I feel stressed or upset is this, “This too shall pass”. I don't remember where I originally heard that, but its true. If you think about any problem you ever had, it eventually finds a way to get resolved! =)

I'm not totally satisfied with my current place in life but I think it's alright. Work takes up most of my time but I think I recognize that I'm in this really stressful period of my career so everything will change and stablize eventually.

Time is always a big issue. I want to take up drawing again but I have a hard time even socializing let alone sitting down for two hours every other day to draw. Work just took up my whole life.

(I actually had this crazy dream today about how I tried to kill myself in a method that clearly wouldn't kill anyone…and I stood there later in the dream wondering why I broke this model of the Effiel Tower. “I could have used that in an art class for still life drawing.” Apparently even in a dream where I am trying to commit suicide I still think about work.)
