is it possible to upload a backlog of strips, say from a storyline completed in a week that will play out over two?

Sure, all you have to do is this:

When uploading, change this,

into the date that you want. For each comic, change the day. The strips will appear the day you said they would, and will not show until said day.

ok, here's something that came up today.

i backlogged about 3 strips last thursday, the first to go up today. then, on saturday, i acquired a sketch i wanted to share, so i put it up that afternoon. come today, i checked to see if the update had worked. it hadn't.

weird thing: clicking the “next” button from the beginning of my archive (since i only have five strips) i viewed #1, 2, the update for today which for some reason didnt have a next button, but it had a “today” button, then saturday's update.

im not sure if that makes any sense. but the basic problem i seemed to run into was the auto-updater not updating properly after id inserted a filler strip after uploading a series of backlogs.

anyone else encountered this? should i try it again to see if i can recreate the problem?

Don't do it again if you can help it. :D It's a known fault. I think Myxo should add this to his FAQ stickies.

I have a problem along the same lines. I Uploaded 10 pages, each set to go up a day after the other. Only I accidentally set two of the pages to go up on the same day, which means most people will probably miss the one that goes up first. I'd also like to consider not uploading anything on weekends when people are outside riding bikes and flying kites and not being on the internet.

Is the only way to fix this to delete all the pages and re-upload them? I'd rather not do this because I'd need to rewrite all the newspost areas. I don't see an option anywhere to change the “live date” after a page has been uploaded.

doesnt look like there is. i tried finding another way, but there are only so many options in our controls. just copy-and-paste your newsposts to a notepad file before deleting. thats about all i do and can recommend.

Sadly, no. You can't edit the day it goes on air.

Well there is a small glitch that may help you with the two pages. But it takes a span of one day, and you have to let both pages go live.

(I'll refer to the pages as Page 1 and Page 2 in order they would go like this: Page 2 #2 6/27/06 Page 1 #1 6/27/06)

First, do not delete the pages, let them upload on the day.

When the day ends and a new day begins, upload a new comic (upload a small file, so it's faster to upload), then delete the file and move Page 1 before Page 2. Drunkduck will, because you uploaded a comic that day (the one you deleted), count it as an update.

This is the only thing that I can think of.
