I saw the trailer for this recently. The premise seems so whacked out that I think it's going to be a very fun movie! I'm becoming a big Mos Def-as-actor fan.

Ummmmm WTF? That's basically a movie version of the long running “Blockblister” skit from the Amanda show. :/

Idea has been done already…

Ah, the Amanda show. A sketch comedy show that had some maturity in it.

This still looks like a fun movie to me.

More important than Jack Black and Mos Def, this is a Michel Gondry movie. If you've seen any of his previous movies you know this a director to watch. I'll see this one, even though it looks a lot more commercial than his previous stuff.

I have to agree, he's an amazing director and Jack Black is usually good for a few laughs. I'll probably end up going to see it myself.

I saw the movie just recently. I thought that it was really cute, and I just loved all of the remakes that they did! Funny stuff.

But this is Michel Gondry. You can't judge the movie based off that trailer…the movie has more substance to it than it may seem.

I saw it, and to be honest, it was not at all what I was expecting - but I mean that in a good way. I just figured I'd be getting some typical Jack Black performance and two hours of terrible, yet comical movie remakes. But instead, the movie is very odd, in the acting and dialogue, and more importantly the cinematography, which looks somewhat amateur in order to bring a more “small town”, “close to home” feeling. And in all that clever sillyness, the film has a grander underlying theme, which is what we've come to expect of Gondry. Allthough I certainly wouldn't say it's one of my favorite of his movies, it is definitely worth a watch. Just be open-minded when doing so.

I saw “I'm not there” instead. It was running at the same time. Very good film ^_^
