IM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP ME COLOR MY NEW COMIC. IT HAS ALOT OF DETAIL AND IM NOT REALLY THAT GOOD AT IT. WHOEVER FEELS THEY ARE UP FOR THE TASK I NEED YOU 100% FOR THIS ONE…. Ok now that im seeing what im seeing i change my idea of coloring the whole comic im looking for just cover colored and about 2 to 3 pages a chapter colored plus cover work.The God of wind he control the nation he lives somewhere in the floating city.

Well, clearly it's not that great if no one knows about it.

You might get more interest if you post an example of something you'd need colored, so the person could see what they would be working with :)

And if you were less obnoxious.

Looking under your profile… the comic that you have, seems to have some good coloring.. if you could post a sample of what you would need coloring, that would be better.

Sorry did not mean for my thing to sound like that just wanted the attention you know well it goes a couple of samples of what i need colored

But the task seems a bit overwhelming. Perhaps you could start out asking someone to color only the cover + the first page of every chapter?

I'd estimate it'd take at least 2 to 3 hours to do some of your pages so I'm not sure many people can devote that much time to it. ^^;

LMAO nice try you are very fast at coloring.

It looks great in B&W you would need a very skilled colorist to be able to improve on what you've already done. You probably won't find that person here or willing to do a project for free. I would just post it as it is if I were you.

How fast would you expect these if I “signed a deal” to color them.

Also send me a page at least double the size you want to post it at. If you want me to try my hand that is.

I may be getting in over my head so I'd like to use the 1st page to see exactly how long it does take. But it looks like fun. Unless you have a huge buffer I don't see myself having to bust these out quick.

I'm assuming you're not super man and that this kind of work would take a lot of time to draw/ink =p

Well the one with the floating city took me like a week. I would have got it done faster but I was trying to bonus at my job and that were I do all my drawings. It hard to do it at home my 1 year old son needs all the attention you know. Its funny I have ten pages done but no first page.

Here is mine! I think its soo amazing that 2 people can look at line art and come up with 3000000000000000 different styles!

man this is awesome both of ya'll have great work.How long did it take you to color the girl. Man I think what I want to do is post up all my Characters and let who ever go wild but color them the way I want. I thank everyone who is interested and trying to help me out

The girl was 2 hours, but I haven't colored for a while, though I'm getting in the groove again! woot! <3 it!

I see a dozen or so of small details I need to work out on the girl, though its small things that don't seem to take away from the picture much.

@ Jamesabels… what are you doing to get the ink lines to blend with the colors?

EDIT: Also, just a bit of critic on your coloring Jamesabels… IMO you are overdoing it a bit on the “bevel/emboss” effect in photoshop. Not a bad thing to use but if you wish to use it a lot you may want to at least apply another layer of shading to hide some of the obvious flawed areas.

Just an example, the area where his arm connects to his shirt. You can see how the effect chisels the arm out even where they meet.

Same with the moon. A great effect on the moon but that creature that is floating in front of the moon is also making dents in it =P

Yea, the first one I posted was done at 5am on no sleep haha, That was my first coloring in a few months and its a bit overdone. to blend the colors with the lines, uh that is just how I work or something, but all of my colors are done with mid range opacity. I try to keep color off the lines where I can as well and trace some lines with a thin eraser.

Not sure if that is very traditional, I'm kind of re-learning so all tips are welcomed!

BTW: I bow down to your work! thats pretty amazing :)

If you want to avoid those problems with the lines, james, here's the technique most people use:



-The lineart layer is always on top and set on ‘multiply.’ After you do this, don't touch this layer ever again.

-Make all new layers under the lineart layers and as you can see in the picture, the coloring goes directly under it and doesn't mess with it! The different colors on different layers don't affect each other at all. :D Which is always good.

Pastel… what kind of brush did you use to get the light effect around the moon? It is divine =D

And your hair is awesome as well, I need to get better with highlights like those.
