you people are all lame asses.

NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON MENTIONED THE COLBERT REPORT!!!

Colbert is THE FUNNIEST PERSON ON TV!!

honorable mentions:

Mythbusters, Ghost hunters before it went all stupid and obviously fake, married with children, simpsons when they try, Stargate: Sg1 when jack was on it and DEXTER one of my favorite newer shows.
Iconoclast: One who attacks and seeks to overthrow traditional or popular ideas or institutions.

I absolutely love Twin Peaks. Really, it had everything. There was humor, horror, mystery and more twists and turns than you can shake a stick at.

There's others, but TP is the (sadly cancelled many many years ago) TV show I find best at the moment.
Because I may as well show a bit of pride. ^___^

Ho! Twin Peaks! I remember my cousin used to make me watch that show when I was like five. I hated it back then, but when they re-aired it a couple of years ago I couldn't get enough of it.

I don't really watch t.v. these days, except to catch an episode of Venture Bros. or a Simpsons re-run.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Bones! I love that series! Also in my list:

McGyver
(I know I am dating myself with this one lol!
Monk
some X-Files
some Charmed
Samurai X/ Rurouni Kenshin
Candy Candy
some CSI
and some Gray's Anatomy, when it is not all romance novel-ish.

I am aching for House and Scrubs, but they are not aired in Greece and they are not on DVD yet either.

EDIT: Shockingly I forgot to add Blackadder to Blackadder the Fourth as my all time favourite. What was I thinking??

Hey, dangerfunk, nice to hear I'm not the only one who fell in love with Twin Peaks.

I'd desperatly like to get my hands on some X-Files some day. I practically grew up with the intro melody and it pops into my head now and then, but I can't remember much about the actual show because I was so youn when they aired it over here.
Some day, some wonderful day, I'll get myself some X-Files.
Because I may as well show a bit of pride. ^___^

Battlestar Galactica, and LOST. By far my favorite shows on television, and reaffirmed my faith in network television storytelling.

For shows of yesteryear, I loved MST3k, and Six Feet Under
