I'd like to get unique business cards for ‘Last Call’ for when I go to a convention. I've seen many that are printed on both front & back, on cool cardstock–and I was wondering where you guys go to get your business cards. Kinko's? Somewhere on the Internet? Just curious.

Sorry this isn't of any help, but I can hardly resist a reference to American Psycho.

Any local print shop can help you out with this, probably for cheaper than you think. Stay away from Kinkos and hit a Mom-n-Pop instead.

American Psycho is awesome.

As for the businesscards. Well, do a front and back design and take the files to any printer. Nowadays almost every copyshop has the facilities to print businesscards.
Well, around here they do.

I simply make mine using a business card template in Microsoft Word and printing them out on cardstock paper.

It depends on how fancy you want them.
The home printing is cheap and easy…but it looks cheap and easy.

Yeah, the home printing programs look like crap. I've tried that before; you can see the perforated edges on the cards, and the card stock is really flimsy.

I have high-quality cards for my freelance art business, but they're just printed on the front. I was curious if there was somewhere on the Internet where you could get them for a reasonable price.

I don't use the cardstock with the preforated edges. I just use regular hard cardstock paper and make the lines for cutting and I use one of those paper-cutting boards to cut them all equally. I have to say they look pretty close to professional quality. The only thing it doesn't have is that glossy shine that most cards have, but that's ok for me.

Laminating will make it too shiny. I've never tried printing on semi-glossy paper, I'm not sure if that would work, though…
