Osama Bin Laden is dead, mowed down with 2 black hawks and 2 dozen special force troops. Shot up in his face. Won't stop terror, it'll keep going, but at least my unc can get some closure for his pals.
Been years since I was here. I've been at rehab since. So uh. Yknow, things got interesting.

Too true. My birthday just isn't the same unless I go out and murder someone with my bare hands. Baby showers, Arbor Day, evening get togethers with fellow Americans? I keep morticians in business with my expressive national pride.

“You tell yourself to just
enjoy the process,” he added. “That whether you succeed or fail, win or
lose, it will be fine. You pretend to be Zen. You adopt detachment, and
ironic humor, while secretly praying for a miracle.”

Osama-bin-photoshopped.
I'm pretty sure you know the rules about not posting images of that sort on the DD forums Kyu. Do not do it again.

That death image was done ages ago. It was done with a poorly done video cap of the lower part of Osama's face stuck on the top half of a man killed in Iraq. That's been floating around the net for quite a while.

He has admitted to getting off to BDSM before.

As for all this news, I sort of find it indecent, joking about his death. Yeah sure he was evil, but…If you're gonna joke about another person's death

at least be funny.

How about 66 years to the day that a real evil was declared dead?

It's been quite alarming lately to listen to the news addressing this. Some American reporters, but also many non-American reporters keep mispronouncing his name as the current American president. I recently watched some British reporter have to correct herself twice in the same broadcast for making that mistake.

I realize other countries probably think little of our president, but you don't have to be that insensitive!

No… Most countries think extremely highly of Obama- probably higher than most Americans. It's just that the names have only one letter difference. :/

Oh hahaha no, that just sounds like a genuine mistake.

Basically, if Teddy Roosevelt were to never have gotten in office, Obama would be the coolest president ever. >:O

Yeah I saw it on the news, the crowd of Americans outside the White house sceaming: “USA! USA! USA!” Which didn't seem incredibly intellegent to me. Particularly when that image was sent around the world, (I flicked onto the United Arab Emerates News, God I love having satellite TV, and they thought the crowds were saying “In your Face” not, “USA”…)

:/ But yes, its still good he's dead.

WRONG.

LINCOLN BABY!

You need more proof?

He was the first president to be commonly known by his initials. “TR”. He owns 50-cent.

Roosevelt was known to go skinny-dipping in the Potomac River during the wintertime.

And last but not least…
Republicanpresidents.net
On October 14, 1912, Roosevelt was campaigning in Milwaukee, Wisconsin when a local saloon-keeper shot him. The bullet lodged in his chest after passing through a jacket pocket containing his steel eyeglass case and a copy of his 50 page speech which had been folded in half. Being an anatomist, Roosevelt concluded that since he wasn’t coughing blood the bullet had not penetrated the chest wall into his lung. He declined immediate treatment and gave his 90 minute speech with blood seeping from the wound into his shirt. “Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot,” Roosevelt said, “but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose.”

I honestly dont think that, no matter how much wrong a person has done in the world, celebrating the fact they have been killed voluntarily by your country is a good thing :S Just my opinion, I dont think violence should ever be celebrated, and I dont think I'd like to only feel like justice has been done once someone has been killed for what they may have done. I personally wonder why they didnt just put him in jail if it was a raid, if they had that choice to either kill or capture (maybe they didnt? Am I missing something maybe, I read he was unarmed?).
Its good that one less bad person is doing wrong in the world, but if they had captured him he still wouldnt be able to do wrong. No need to feel like the only way to bring back justice is by killing back, I see it as just more violence, and encouraging people to say violence is okay in answer to bad things. They are also possibly encouraging terrorists to say violence is okay too. :S

Morally I agree with you 100%!
But in a more prosaic, cynical, practical way, I see a good argument to justify the execution/murder/assassination/whatever:
Osama Bin Laden was basically a meaningless figure as a terrorist at this stage. Time has moved on and he was isolated and in hiding too long to have much influence or be much of a figurehead anymore.
But if he had been imprisoned, that would've brought him back to prominence- Terrorist groups could've made a martyr out of him and used him as a rallying figure. Killing him short circuits that whole thing.
From Bin Laden's and even Al Quaida's point of view, being captured alive would probably have been a big win for them. It would've put them both right back into the centre stage of world focus, right where they wanted to be.

So, his death was expedient.

But yes, celebrating is sick.

I agree that the celebrating is disgusting and annoying, but like Ozone mentioned, parading him around would have just made him popular all over again, and keeping him in prison to me, especially with how sick he apparently was, would have been a waste of money, just like the money we're wasting daily by being in the Middle East. :/

The chanting at the White House was what angered me the most; and Americans always wonder why other people think we're so idiotic… >_>
