Anyone else caught this new Cartoon Network show? I am mostly mad at Cartoon Network for transitioning to more live-action content, but Chowder is an awesome, adorable cartoon.

I've only managed to see the first episode, but it's already sold me on the series. Has anyone else seen it? What are your thoughts?

Cartoon Network: “Don't expect cartoons.”

Sorry, haven't been watching that channel anymore to know. XP

So how about discussing Chowder?

I've seen a good several episodes of Chowder. I'm impressed by its unique style. Also, for some reason I really enjoy hearing the voices of actual children in a cartoon, especially when they're done well. I'm keeping an eye on Chowder.

I was fisting myself when I saw this.

Cartoon Network was the love of my life when I was… Eight? But now it's like that ex that just doesn't understand that the relationship is over.

All the kid voices are adorable. Schnitzle is hilarious so far and the whole thing is just wacky.

I also enjoyed the “eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee” gag and the spit-take gag as well. :D

I've only been able to catch bits of the show, but I love the intersting character designs and use of patterns and colors.

Mung: Can a pretty lady take free samples of your burple nurples
Chower: Sure, do you know one?
Mung:…. Can an uglyy lady take free samples?
Chowder: No…ugly ladies have to pay.

You know, I saw it while sitting at a buffalo wings & beer place this past Friday. The bright colors & style caught my eye and I was curious as to what it was. The title is catchy and easy to remember. I didn't get to hear any sound, but I thought it was cool that even while they were moving around, the patterns within their clothes didn't move. I also liked how it wasn't just 2D animation, but it had some stop-motion stuff in there too. Pretty cool.

Best show on Cartoon Network right now. They are probably going to have to cancel it because it makes ‘Out of Ditwits head’ look like total crap.
I love it.
I watch it just to see Mungs mouth move and his voice. It's so funny!
They even made a Katamari reference!
And it doesn't hurt that they Have Terra Strong as the voice of Truffles (Even though the voice is annoying and sometimes hard to understand)
But I can't help shake the feeling that they took the idea of Shnitzle (wadda) of a character that speaks only one word yet everyone understands him from Fosters Home for Imaginary friends.

That sentence basically explains how I feel about CN and Chowder.

Chowder is usually pretty funny and I like the art of it. It's definitely different from those of Dexter's Laboratory or Courage the Cowardly dog.

It definitely something that CN needed to come out with (since that stupid “Out of Jimmy's Head” and Fried Dynamite crap is pissing me off).
Updates Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday's (depends).

Out of the new shows they previewed for 2008, not many of them look promising. One is a totally racist kung-fu parody done in all CGI. I really HATE the new George Of The Jungle! If they had Super Chicken in it, I could maybe stand to watch it.

Also, Kids Next Door ran their series finale yesterday. It was pretty good, and one of Cartoon Network's better attempts at an action/comedy series.

Chowder is a pretty cool cartoon. One of my favorites so far this year.

I've watched a few episodes and my favorite I'd have to say would be the episode where Chowder and the tall thing (forgot it's name) went to the bank. Hilarious.

You say it like Cartoon Network made the cartoon.

Probably the only show worth watching on CN now.

Now, it's not that bad. CN still has Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

Foster's has been losing it's original charm just a little bit.

I totally forgot about that show, I like it though.

And let's not forget KND and Billy & Mandy.

Foster's has been losing it's original charm just a little bit.

Even if that were true, it's still better than most cartoons.

Actually, people have a bad habit of harshly judging media that isn't meant for them. Let's face it, most of us are not in the demographic Cartoon Network is aiming at, so we don't have much right to complain. Camp Lazlo is probably quite fun and entertaining for a nine-year-old. I'd sure love it if everything was all-ages-appealing, but that's tough to pull off.

KND is over now. The only new episodes they had all last year was the Billy & Mandy crossover in Nov.

Billy & Mandy aren't doing too much new as far as new episodes either. The KND crossover, the Big Boogey Adventure and the Spider-Queen movies were all they did last year. It's like instead of making new episodes, CN just does made-for-TV movies and specials.

If I had cable I'd still probably mostly be watching CN

They're making the Mr. Men show for CN now. DD amlum ]Tera Sanders is storyboard artist on it, so it will certainly be fantastic. Or at the very least very well storyboarded.

I remember watching the premier of the KND at this family fun center place back in texas. Instantly, I thought it was great. And then as the seasons went on, adding things such as the fact that Numbuh 1-5 weren't the only members. THat they had a frikin moon base. And that Father turned out to be Numbuh 1's Uncle. (Did not see that coming) KND was one of the good shows of KND.

I hope Chowder ends up being as good as KND.

I remember her, she was amazing (and a good e-friend).

Good luck to her and the new show then.

Well I saw one episode of chowder with my little brother (five year old) it was interesting on how they use claymation as the narrorator and the have cool colors. The kid's voice is to die for so that's all I'll say about Chowder. Now FOSTER'S! That is a fun show even though I feel really immature when I laugh at something on that show…

My brothers and I saw it the other night and were like, “What the heck is this?” But one second later we were totally into it! :) It's trippy and funny and I love Chowder's real-kid voice, it's all-around a good show. If CN had more like it they'd be in good shape.

But the content…I don't really care for, so you won't find me watching it.
