I came up with this idea one night while I was drifting off.
Fears plague all of us and I was wondering what people fear.
A great way for a lot of people to overcome those fears is to make them more tangible or even make them so absurd you find them so funny or so ridiculous that the fear is no longer there.
So I thought it would be cool to collect submissions from DDers on their own personal fears…one to help them work through them and also to share them and for others to realize they are not alone.
Basically what you do is take one page…try to keep it small…regular notebook page size will work, and draw in any way you want, what you are afraid of… and in any medium is fine, in conjuction to a piece of paper of course. On your submission there needs to be the phrase…“I am afraid of…” plus naming what you are afraid of.
You can pq your submissions with either a link or attachment and I will review and hope to post as many as come in.

It seems a little depressing. People usually tend to be more interested in stuff that is simply fun, I think you'll find it has trouble holding people's attention. However more power to you if you can get it going. I'm all for community projects!

I guess I didn't think this idea through enough.
The idea of people in their varying styles putting to paper artistically what they fear…hmm…may be to some that would be depressing…but I wonder if it could be cathartic and exciting…funny and crazy…imagining these varying styles and the wide variety of what people fear…from My Little Pony Dolls to Dill Pickles…have you seen Maury lately…funny stuff!!!

I know what you are saying but it usually doesn't work out that way. These sort of projects tend to be more suited to Deviant Art.
Think about it this way. People are here for comics, not just pin up art. On deviant art people are there for pin up style art. A whole series of picture on a subject is more what people are looking for. Plus every community project is taking people away from their normal comics so it has to be a very rewarding experience.

but its not a story comic…its just pages of one page submissions displaying what each person is afraid of. Does that explain it better, marine? So if you want to submit a page as described just pq me the link or the page.
