I have been using screen shots from gmod to try and create a comic. However, many of the programs I have been trying to use either 1)Do not save in a format I can upload to the site, or B) are not “Free” at all, but are a very short free trial. I am very low on cash and need a really inexspensive way to make my comics.

“Gimp” is essentially free Photoshop, so that's a good place to start.
That's “Dr. BlkKnight” to all of you.

If you're doing a lot of screen capture you'll be wanting to download Irfanview.

It does batch image processing wich is great if you need to resize a folder's worth of images and save them in a different format.

I'm not sure what program you've been using to edit the comics together if it doesn't let you save in any of the formats DD accepts.

Oh and if the Gimp isn't your cup of tea you can also try Paint.Net.

Paint.NET ROCKS!!! Be sure to search/install the pluggins as well…a LOT of great ones to add to the program! AND, it's ALL free…but you can donate to them when you can to keep them going…
