1871-1920: Made by a hindu sect. Used for enlightenment training and only those who had gone through enough training were allowed to wear these shoes.


19th century mask made in Europe. Women who nagged or talked too much were forced to wear these masks so that they would have difficulty moving their mouth.


Tatooed skin carved out from the dead. One of the 150 samples owned by a rich collector.


700-year-old mummy, believed to be live preserved for the ancient gods.

You call ‘em creepy - I call ’em awesome! :) The tattoos-cut-from-dead-skin might be kind of creepy, but the rest of it is cool.

But then, I'm the kind of person who can happily spend hours in the Museum of Technology, looking at old steam engines, so maybe I'm slightly biased when it comes to antique collections. >.>

I love how it would give her a happy goblin face, complete with antennae lol!

19thC seems a bit late for something like that though… I'd say 18thC at he latest, if real. Or, if fake, 19thC at the earliest.

The only one I would consider creepy would be the mummified girl, though.
