I saw when people add extra pages for links, bios, whatever, the URL you see them at is
www.drunkduck.com/comicname/HTML/
I'd like to know how you make the extra HTML page!
Someone please tell me! :(

first you need to code the page in HTML. then you upload the HTML file and any pictures to the files section of your comics control panel. it's right next to the stats link. under each file is the URL to the file. copy the link from the HTML file you uploaded and link it off your comic page.

Notepad is fine. You can paste the code from the templates in the coding forum in notepad and edit it…
Save the file as page1.html
You can give it whatever title you like, as long as it ends in .html

Upload it in the files section of your comic control panel. When you do you'll be able to find the page here:

Still not working…Whenever I upload it, it's just a txt file. But when you save notepads, there are 3 drop down menus, should the 3rd dropdown be something specific?

All you need to do normally is just name it whatever you like and put ".html“ on the end. Did you forget the dot? Post the exact title you're giving these files please.

As for the drop downs… you could try clicking the second on and then select ”all files", it it's really not needed usually… It'd help if you posted the file name so I can see if you're doing it right or not though.

Hmm, you could always look for a HTML editor… There are a lot of free ones around. Even the Web browser Seamonky has one built in:

I saved it as Bios.html I'm really confused with this…it's probably something REALLY simple that I'm doing wrong…

a common problem that i see with file extentions is when the extentions are turned off in windows explorer the file will look like page.html but when you turn on file extentions you'll see that the file is really named page.html.txt to fix this in explorer click on tools menu at the top and pick folder options. on the folder options window that will appear choose the view tab. on the view tab find the checkbox for hide extentions for known file types. uncheck that box. if your file looks like page.html.txt then simply rename it and remove the .txt.

Ok then. From a notepad file (rather than wordpad, which is a different program!), that title should work fine.

But seeing as you're having problems, maybe you should try getting and installing a free HTML editor? It'll make webpage design so much easier. ^_^

That Seamonkey browser I suggested has one. And here's another free one I just found: http://www.download.com/AceHTML-Freeware/3000-2048_4-10687020.html?tag=lst-1
-it's a very small download ^_^

(don't ask me how to use these editors, I don't use them myself. I just know that they're free)

I'll fiddle around with a HTML editor and see if it works…Thanks for helping…I hope it works now. Or I'm gonna start crying…

EDIT: Yay! It's done it! Thanks to the HTML editor, I could save it as an actual HTML file. It's not alligned to the center though, I'll mess around with the HTML codes, and eventually get that fixed

Thanks! :)
