What's your favorite heist movie?

I loved the Ocean's Series, Snatch, and The Italian Job

But now that I think about it, can you really consider Snatch a heist movie?

The Italian Job. (the real one)
Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
The Grifters.

..eh. There are more but I have a terrible memory for all the old films I've seen :(

If animation is allowed for the list, I'm going with all the Lupin III movies – truly the master of the heist.

Hmm… tough one.

Heat The DeNiro/Pachino movie.
Kelly's Heroes Clint Eastwood war/comedy/heist film. Pure gold.
Quick Change with Bill Murray and Gina Davis.
Bottle Rocket with Luke and Owen Wilson.
The Hot Rock Robert Redford and George Segal. Very funny movie.

Its hard to think of a “best one” but there are plenty of really good ones.

Layer Cake is awesome, but I guess thats more of a drug movie than a heist movie, feels sorta like a heist movie though.

If you haven't seen BBC1's series The Hustle. You should, it's awesome.

most definitely!
They are trying to lift the diamond and the title means “heist”.
I just love Snatch.!

I thought Spike Lee's Inside Man was really good.

Does Reservoir Dogs count?
Probably not. There's mainly just talk of a heist in that movie. =/

Cool, the best part in the movie (imo) was when Brad Pitt's character was fighting the big guy in the barn. It was hilarious.

Seconding Snatch and Kelly's Heroes - Oddball has to be my favourite crazy character ever. :P
The Continued Misadventures of Bonebird - a poor bird's quest for the ever-elusive and delicious apples.

Oh hell yeah! I totally forgot that movie. Redford kicked major ass in that one. Really funny, too.

At least Snatch is way more of a heist movie than The Great Muppet Caper, which is actually a madcap heist-thwarting movie.
