love the dialogue:
“this is where we fight! this is where they die!”

“spartans, tonight we dine in hell!”

“this is madness?” “this is sparta!”

I've always had problems with how computer graphics look, and i don't think ill like this movie, just because they used CG so much

That looks okay. Frank Miller's really got connections with Hollywood now, so I was sorta expecting another movie based on his work to come out. I'll have to buy the graphic novel.

Still, I'm more interested in seeing if a 100 Bullets movie will ever be made. I just started reading the comic again, and a movie of that series would be awesome.

I believe that's Gerard Butler, he was in “dear frankie”(pretty good movie). I think he is one of those up and coming stars, good actor.

It looks pretty, and like a competent adaptation of the comic (but could a movie ever be as good as the comic it's based on?) I hate the slow motion (people think it's badass, but I think it's boring and overly dramatic) and the music (electric guitar?!?!?!)

I found the music to be my favorite part of it. Really sets the tone for all these dudes jumping in the air and slashing at each other.

Hey Subbie, I quote this from the intraweb so it must be true:

“Mark Steven Johnson, who has just signed a deal with HBO to adapt the popular Vertigo comic Preacher into an hourlong series, told SCI FI Wire that he plans to turn each issue of the comic into a single episode, which will be as close to the original source material as possible. ”I gave the comics, and I said, ‘Every issue is an hour,’“ Johnson said at a preview of his upcoming film Ghost Rider in Hollywood, Calif., on Nov. 30. ”And it's exactly the book. … I had my meeting yesterday, and Garth Ennis is on the phone, and we're all in the room, and Garth is like, ‘You don’t have to be so beholden to the comic.' And I'm like, ‘No, no, no. It’s got to be like the comic.' So that's what's so brilliant about it. It's just like, HBO, who else would do it but them? Nobody. … HBO is just like, ‘Bring it on.’“”

Race ya to the finish line to see who sprays their shorts first.

oh hells yes
i remember they had a screen shot of arseface to be made into a movie,

but I think splitting it up into episodes would look better for preacher, besides I don't think it would have done well in the cinema…preacher is for the more open and twisted mind crowd

Well, there's that and we finally get to see if individual issues becoming one-hour episodes will work. I don't know about you, but that's been a theory that's in my head for freaking YEARS.
