Poinko pointed this out to me via twitter. It's loads of fun (for about 15 minutes).

Take a web page, I'll use mine as an example…

Enter it in the apropriate line at this website…

And you get something like this! Ha!

I thought it would be fun if you all posted your favorite site, geocities-ized. (please keep it safe for work. no porn links… ) :P

by the way, here's DrunkDuck

Also, don't be discouraged if it takes a while. I'm sure it's getting a lot of twitter traffic. plus, it has to reconstruct a web page through a filter.

HA HA! that comic pages subject matter with “i'm blue” in the background is hilarious.

My site's pretty bad ass like this.

I think I'll have to change my official site to this one!

When you used the phrase “time warp” I thought that you were showing us a site that archived old renditions of the site, allowing us to see how they used to like. Like this site does.

For example, here's Drunk Duck from 2005

What this Geocities-izer does is that it just reconstructs the current site, by adding new background, fonts and effects, so that it looks amateurish. That's only funny if we pick a very professional site, like The New York Times.
Those were my two cents.

No way man. This one from 2004 beats that!
-Pinky TA is in the toplist there :)

- 2004 Pinky TA template… http://web.archive.org/web/20040811225224/www.drunkduck.com/Pinky_TA/

Or this 2007 one (best DD front page EVER!) winth Pinky TA at overall number ONE spot.
(rightful place)

Okay, anyone who knows me long enough knows that my hometown is home to one of the creators of one of the worst website designs of all time (Burlington UFO and Paranormal Research). Here's the address of the original site.

Well, here's the Geocities-izer version.

Sadly, the second version actually looks somewhat better (but not by a whole lot, as it still looks like ass).
