I just saw that, and have to say, that movie was damn good! I can't think of a bad thing about it. Well, that was your cue to start saying all the bad things about it.

I enjoyed it, despite the corny dialogue at some points. The plot tied itself together pretty well, and the characters were, for the most part, enjoyable.

I didn't really care for Blackheart, though. He just didn't seem like villain material.

I rented that movie 2 days ago and have yet to watch it… maybe I'll watch it tonight? Nah, tonight it's Reno 911: Miami all the way!

I enjoyed it for what it was; an over the top action special effects extravaganza. The acting was pretty good, and the storyline progressed fairly natural and at a decent clip. I wouldn't call it a “great” movie, but I certainly wouldn't mind watching it again. I'll give it a 7 out of 10, for the shear fun factor, minus 3 for pretending to be deeper than it is at some parts.

Nicholas Cage CAN NOT do a believable southern accent… or let along keep it steady through a whole scene.. So why did they even bother >.<

And yes, Im still bitter because of Con Air where his character was from my home town and sounded like a bad Forrest Gump imitation which also was full of craptastic accents… There are actually different types of southern accents depending on the region.

Wait, what's going on here? Are we talking about Ghost Rider or Spiderman?

We are talking about Ghost Rider, right?

The movie that barely edged past Daredevil and Catwoman to avoid the title of “The Worst Superhero Movie of the Decade”, right?

I had to go in with absolutely ZERO expectations – and I enjoyed myself! 8D

Was it a good movie? Not exactly.
Was it amusing at times? Definitely.
Did it have some wowza kewl moments? Absolutely! My fave was GR riding up the skyscraper and Eva/Roxanne watching from a distance – brought back memories of the original 1970s comic books to me!

Nicolas Cage was not playing Johnny Blaze, though. I don't know who he was playing, except maybe himself. That was probably the main disappointing thing about the movie to me. I did not recognize the loser buffoon called Johnny Blaze. But Ghost Rider himself was pretty good!

The villain? I agree. Meh.

Sam Elliott in a support role? Sure, he always plays it cool…even mysterious. I liked him.

The end? Meh.

If you go in with no expectations, it's hard to be disappointed. It's possible, though, as I learned the hard way with *shudder* Ghostbusters II. (Ewwwww!)

I can't believe you guys (as in the DD community, not necessarily you guys directly) liked this movie but in the Fan Four 2 and Spidey threads you guys hated those movies.

What the heck?

So Spidey 3 and Fan4 2 sucked and Ghost Rider was good?

WTF?

Btw, I too liked Ghost Rider, though… it was about 50% lame and cheesy. But, I'm a fan of cheese, so there you go.

My thoughts exactly.

Two things I really really wanted fixed -

1) Blackheart is a million times cooler looking in the comics with his long dreadlocks and tentacles . Would've been great to see Nicholas Cage fight him with that.

2) The Phantom Rider looked different - He has a white cape and looks more like a cowboy. It was kinda one of the cooler moments to see the two of them riding off to battle.

A lot of great “what the shit?” moments happen in ghost rider.

As a cheesy superhero movie, it succeeds. You compare it to spider-man or something that tries a little harder to take a superhero movie seriously (like the latest Batman movie)and it fails completely. Still, better than Daredevil.

And this fucking guy is going to do the HBO version of Preacher.

Do you know they were actually quoting the Bible in that line? I looked it up. Mark 5:9

Cool moment, though, I agree!

I loved the whole helicopter jump build up at the beginning, that was a riot. lol!

“Did you ever fall for it! The ol' man eating toaster gag!”

But seriously, I just rented GR too, and thought it was okay. They took in alot of the character's background, including the original ol' west GR(aside from the fact that he was really just a guy in a mask). It was certainly better than FF2, Blade Trinity, or Elektra.

there were a few things that i didn't like about it. none of the villains really put up a fight against ghost rider except for blackheart. earth guy hits him with a truck then he chains him to death. air guy flies up to the roof and ghost rider tries to chain him and fails so he chain vortexes him to death. water guy pulls him under water and ghost rider chains him to death. pretty crappy fights. effects were good and ghost rider was totally bad ass. nick cage was ok but i liked the actor they had playing the young johnny blaze better. they should have kept him instead.
