South Korean scientists have cloned cats by manipulating a fluorescent protein gene, a procedure which could help develop treatments for human genetic diseases, officials said Wednesday.
In a side-effect, the cloned cats glow in the dark when exposed to ultraviolet beams.
A team of scientists led by Kong Il-keun, a cloning expert at Gyeongsang National University, produced three cats possessing altered fluorescence protein (RFP) genes, the Ministry of Science and Technology said.

That's so weird. I want some… to throw at people.
Imagine that face coming at you at 45 miles an hour in the dark.

They glow when exposed to ultraviolet light… Man, so do most of my clothes due to the stuff in washing power. Ha, I'm so white, even my skin does! lol!

No they don't glow in the dark, they glow under ultraviolet. The glow in the dark cat story is a LIE! o_O

Hmm…I have a cat that I wouldn't want to glow in the dark. As it is she usually scares the crap out of me in full daylight.

troubling question…

Poor shappy has a condition known as “microphalus”, well you might be able to guess what he thinks is the best use of “science”… T_T

You see the trouble with that scenario is that you need power for your ultraviolet lights, and if you've got power for your ultraviolet lights… Yeah lol!

And coyotes, if they've somehow managed to move into urban Korea, will have to rig up ultraviolet light harnesses with battery packs to find them. lol!

Oh man, dumbest news story ever.

Did you hear about these new pigs that can fly? Yeah, you just put them in an aeroplane…

I'd say I'm one of them
But I'm not sure
