I signed up on Drunk Duck quite a while ago just so I could post comments. The other day I thought to myself “I wonder how much it cost to put a comic up?” Of course, it's free, but I didn't know that, so my reaction was: “Holy bleep! It's free!” True story. So now I have a comic. Sweet.

Okay, I don't really have a comic yet. Just a few test pages while I figure out the photoshop software, and get the bugs out of my scanner. I do have a fantastic update set up for Sunday, just in case you wanna check it out (hint hint)

*edit* Scratch that, update on Saturday *edit*

About me: In my mid-thirties and unemployed at the moment. My options were either to go out and find a job, or start writing a comic for no reason or pay. Easiest decision ever. Aside from art class in high-school, I have no formal training, but I've been drawing on and off for my whole life. I grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan. That's a suburb of Detroit. Two years ago I moved to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. I don't miss the snow. I've been driving the same beat up old truck since the last century. I'm an uber-geek. Aside from an obsession with comics, I attend a weekly D&D game session. Not married (wonder why?). And…uh… You know what? This is starting to look like the worst internet dating ad ever.

About my comic: This is my very first comic ever. It's called Love Curse. It's a fantasy/odd romance/humor/serious type of comic. If that makes sense. The main character gets cursed with the undying affection of every female demi-human who sees him. Lots of funny situations while he tries to find a cure, and maybe he'll save the world along the way. The art is a cross between realistic, anime, and whatever weird traits I've picked up over the years. I gave it a T+ rating.

I sense a lot of subtle self-promotion.

That aside, welcome to the Duck - as a comic author, that is. :)
Comic obsession, D&D and uber-geekery.. sounds like you'll fit just in.

Now I can't remember if my post was deleted or if I just hadn't posted anything yet. It's very confusing.

Hello wordweaver three, what is that thing in your avatar?

P.S. Don't drink the cola. It's bad for you in the same way that petrol and sulfur stew is.
Hey buddy, you should be a Russian Cosmonaut, and here's why.

Couldn't be too subtle, no one even looks at the “Look What I Made” section.

Gonna spend the weekend working on it, with any luck I'll at least have a title page on Monday. Thanks for the support.

That fine looking gent is a preview for tomorrows update. I guess you'll have to tune in and check it out. (As Biz3 pointed out, subtlety is not one of my strong points)

BTW: You did post a rather rude message that got booted. Of course I didn't take it personally *sniff*

Hello Wordweaver_three, you did indeed weave a few words of comic promotion there but they were so skillfully woven, we won't complain. That is to say, we can't complain for fear of being deleted!

Heh heh heh!

Hope you enjoy your Duck experience and I've no doubt that with all this time on your hands, you'll soon be sporting a fine seasonally referenced avatar. :)

Er……..boo!

If one says the word “bleep” on the internet, as opposed to saying the swearword, there is indeed a noob in the house. Also, if one says or types the word “noob” ever in their adult life, they must be destroyed.
I am so happy to finally be back home

Ah. See now this is the type of critique I'm talking about. If I have a big snot hanging out of my nose and everyone tells me how nice my hair looks, how does that help me? Sorry about the bleep, I'll make sure that shit never happens again.

Trout says odd things occasionally. It's best not to take anything he says too seriously if it sounds really mean. Not many people here are actually intentionally very mean to other people.

Anywho, hiya! Welcome to DD. It's great here. You sound like you'll fit it nicely. Just remember: sarcasm is your friend and use your best judgment when you are offered food or beverages.
I don't know what to write here.
Someone come up with a siggy for me. I will pay you in… um… interweb cool points? I don't know.

Yeah, I sorta figured there was an on-the-meds off-the-meds thing about Trout.

There's a review section as well, but no one looks at that either.
