I was wondering why my comic is always being taken of the main page right when I upload it even though no comic is replacing it. It keeps being taken of the main page almost as soon as I upload. Am I doing something wrong? If im in violation of any rules then tell me so I can stop breaking them. someone help please. Also if anyone can tell me the rules that would be great

No one is taking it down. So you're saying that it shows up in “This Just In” and then disappears? And it's not just the ‘moving down the list as other comics are updated’ thing? That's not supposed to happen, I'm not sure why it would do that. I could report it if you tell me which comic it is (and confirm that's what's happening).

The same thing already happened to me a couple of times, but since I still had more pageviews I thought it was just a bug that was hiding our comic to us, if that makes sense.

This has been happening to me for years now. Far as I can tell, it's some bizarre glitch where if you keep surfing the site after uploading (and logged in, I believe), there's an erratic chance the ‘this just in’ part vanishes, although you're otherwise still uploaded. You're not the only one by any sense. I think I saw the guy who does Bear Versus Zombies mentioning this a few months ago too.

I think it vanishes for everyone, for the record. I notice when it happens I get essentially no page hits compared to when the update is visible, but I can't prove it.

I usually find myself just closing down my tab for Drunkduck for some time. Oddly enough, I find it doesn't really happen much at all (that I can recall) when the update is by the bottom half of the list. The top, definitely.
“You tell yourself to just
enjoy the process,” he added. “That whether you succeed or fail, win or
lose, it will be fine. You pretend to be Zen. You adopt detachment, and
ironic humor, while secretly praying for a miracle.”

Yeah I've mentioned this before too. It especially always happens if you change you comic's thumbnail after uploading.
The only remedy so far is to just reupload. It usually stays there after the second try.

Oh, is it that again? We've talked to them about that a couple times and they've never been able to figure out why it's doing that. :I I hope with the new site they use new code and it won't be a problem.

For awhile, it hasn't really bothered me. (I figure anyone who's faved the comic will look into that instead, if the image doesn't show) But if it'll help me get Pat's face up on the front page for viewers, that'd be great. xD *goes to re-upload*
