the TV show heroes finally showed new season for year 2007!

man, the first episode of season 2 was so intense!

I could go on and on about how much I loved the tv show and stuff.. but I dunno how I can go about that without spoiling things.

just saying it was awesome.

We're still on season 1. A lot of popular shows took a break over the holidays, like Heroes and Battlestar Galactica.

I told one of my friends to watch the new episode, even though he hadn't seen the 1st. So today i had to explain to him EVERYTHING that happened in episode 1.

I love the show though, Hiro is the frick'n man.

"You flying man, WKSSHHH!"

You know, I'm not usually into the whole “superhero” thing– a tad too hackneyed for my taste– but I am seriously addicted to this television show. It's not only fresh and exciting, it's consistently fresh and exciting; each episode simultaneously slakes your thirst and makes you want more.

Like the end of this week's episode, for example: We're left with a lot of questions. Will Invisible Hobo agree to train Peter? Will Micah use his crazy robot techno-powers to get his mom out of the loony bin? Will Claire ever find her parents? Will Alex ever hook back up with Claire? What side is Nathan on, anyway? And how will Creepy Glasses Guy and the Haitian factor into all this?

I am on tenterhooks. Tenterhooks, I tell you.

I was really into this show when it first came out, but then I kept missing episodes, so seeing the new episode for season 2 was a bit confusing, but still a lot of fun to watch.

I'm really surprised at its success, actually. I think it's fantastic that a show that incorporates superheroes and comics as part of the main plot could but really popular in the mainstream. I was really expecting it to bust after the first season, but man, I'm glad it didn't. And Masi Oka blows me away. (And his character's name is a pun! How unbelievably ridiculous yet fantastic is that?!)

yeah, what I love about the series Heroes is that fact that they take the theme of superheroes, comics and stuff and make it seem realstic.

no superhero outfit, nothing… just real people trying to do what they want to do. stuggling with what they are.

If you could have any superhero's power, what would you have? I'd pick the cheerleader's power or Hiro's power.

I saw one episode of it, and I thought it was pretty cool. I'm glad they're not doing costumes or anything. Thing is in animation costumes look natural and cool, but in the real world costumes are stupid. Heroes does a good job of balancing realism and comic-influences.

omg!! that ending was so totally unexpected! who thought that would be HIM, as Clarie's real father?

but then again, with his track record of womanizing.. I guess that had to be expected..

I was wrong. It was a good ending… to think that flying and fire can create healing powers… Who knew?

It took me about 3 episodes to really get into the show, but now I’m finding it really entertaining. I mean, I had to give it a chance; Art direction by Tim Sale? Produced by Jeph Loeb? Hells yeah!

I'm also doing that other comic "Space Waffles".
We now have a podcast called The Random Pirate Comics Show!

So Hiro's dad is part of the cabal? He must not know his son is a super or he'd turn him in.
What happened to the FBI cop woman tracking Siler? That subplot seems to have been dropped.
They did a great job of showing that the dad, who must a awful man to supers in general, but he's incredibly protective of his family.
Nice way of folding in the invisible man, the ex Dr Who actor.
At least this show answers as many questions as it raises.
I love this soap opera.
From the preview, it looked like Linderman could have been Donald Sutherland.

Hm. I agree. But… I also think that what Mr. Sulu said to HRG is true. Being a father changes you. Personally, now watching that episode, it could create a new suspension of concern for Hiro's dad. He knows what Hiro may be getting into it, and is concerned for him. That or… maybe he adopted Hiro… did anyone think of this?

Oh and… Linderman? aint' Sutherland… BUT….

Linderman is none other than previous TANK GIRL & Star Trek: GENERATIONS baddie, Malcolm ‘Clockwork Orange’ McDowell

Also… I these may be as well, so warning, but… after surmising everything…

It'll prolly be best for Claire to get out of the country, as it seems initially that this organization is US based. Only problem is, she's gonna wanna either see, in my opinion, Uncle Peter, or her friend, Zack.

I also believe that-

Simone is a plant by HRG OR… she is being projected somehow as being alive…

Mohinder does know that Sylar acting like someone else is a ruse. He's just a smart cookie. But not smart enough cos… Sylar is gonna wanna kill him.

Yeah, I imagine having Hiro's dad say that “Being a father changes a person” line was intentional- Knowing what he knows, surely he wouldn't be so dismissive of claims of super powers. Since he DID act dismissively, I can only surmise that he already knew, and wants Hiro to return to Japan so he will be safe.

I think his priorities have changed, and he wants to protect his child, just like Mr. Bennet.
