I forgot how wonderfully brilliant this album is. I haven't listened to it for a good three years or so.

Now, Diabolical - Satyricon (saw them in Sydney last year and am thoroughly addicted) -

and

'Cuz I can - Pink (saw her in Brisbane last week, addicted again)

Surprisingly, True Norwegian Black Metal and Pink work well together. :gem:

I am a headbanger through and through. If you think bands like Slipknot and Trivium
are heavy, dont even check my bands out, they'll give you nightmares. >:)

Obituary is my favorite band. The heaviest band in the world, if you dont believe me get Slowly We Rot, spin it a few times, and see for yourself.

Insane

Slowly We Rot (Live)

Chopped In Half

Don't Care

On The Floor

Morbid Angel is my second favorite band tied with Behemoth

God of Emptiness

Where The Slime Live

Blessed Are the Sick

I also like Deicide, Morgoth, Celtic Frost, Slayer, Brutality, Death, Bathory, Immortal, Darkthrone, Testament, Gorgoroth, Behemoth, Satyricon, Kataklysm, Mayhem, Winter, Possesed, Burzum, Enslaved, Bolt Thrower, Immolation, Malevalent Creation, Kreator and a bunch of others.

I used to be into a lot of metal. I grew out of that phase though. I still listen to bits and pieces, but I stick mostly to stoner metal and post-metal stuff. Lately I've been listening to Isis quite a bit, for instance. Also, The Locust stand as one of my all-time favorite bands, and “New Erections” is by far one of my favorite releases of the year so far.

For a true Metal fan, Metal is no phase. Anyone can be passionate about any kind of music, I'm sure you wouldnt say listening to classical music is a “phase” though. It seems to me that Metal and Metal fans get undeserved disrespect.

The Beatles- Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
At the Drive-In- One-Armed Scissor
Commander Venus- My Other Car is a Spaceship
Metallica- One
They Might Be Giants- Experimental Film
Dio- Holy Diver

The other day, I was looking up stuff about my favorite SNES game ever, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, and I found a band with the same name. I was like, “Cool, this band must be great!”. It was majorly ungreat.

This is one problem that I have with the metal scene. Aside from punk, it's the only musical subculture where people try to one-up one another as “true” fans.
