Hi Doctor Ni…Nevermind, wrong cartoon.

I signed up here a few days ago and have uploaded about a dozen
comics I did. I can't draw that quickly (or that well) so I use
the cartoon application at www.toondoo.com
It's pretty cool, but one is limited by the scenery that is included (tho you can upload stuff) and the fact that the characters are hardly ever not facing forward.
Guess I should learn how to draw better, but almost all my characters are based on real people, so its funnier (well, to me anyway) if the character actually looks like them.

Not sure if this post will link directly to my comic, but here it is:
http://www.drunkduck.com/Wrong_Turn_Comics/

The website will all the comics on it is at:
http://www.newmoondesigns.net/wrongturn/

Anyway, pleased to be aboard :)

Thanks for the nice welcome Frank!

Not sure how much success I will have with this comic.
I fear others do not see me as clever as I see myself!
On the plus side tho, I am likely a bit older than most on here,
and so I have more years of frustration and angst to get out.
On a positive note, let's call that “lots of material to draw from”.

Take care and see ya in the funny papers :)

Rick there are some important things you should know about DD (although I suspect you have an understanding about these issues already)

Your community will never grow as quickly as you want it to. It's a SLLLOOOOOOOOOOWWWW and painful growth. You just want to advertise to the world and hope to grab a few people attention, but it's not that easy. The best way (or at least the best way that I have found) is to be active on the forums, make some buddies, check out their comics, comment and rate their work, then eventually people will start trickling into your community. So long as your comics are decent, you'll garner someone's attention!

Next, I'm 28 years old, is that old enough? Let's play Sherlock Holmes for a moment shall we?

Your avatar depicts a middle aged male with salt and pepper hair. It is a well known conceit that avatars produced by authors are typically images of themselves. Thus, I would deduce that you are a middle aged male (possibly early 30's) but see yourself as “old” for some reason.

If Sherlock was right, you need not worry, I'm pretty close to your age.

Again, best of luck, and let the community know if you need anything, people love to help around here as long as you post in the correct forums area.

Hiya Frank,

Not bad deductive reasoning on your part!

I see what you mean about the slow process of garnering interest in one's comic here.
Me gots zero comments so far.

I tried listing my site at:
thewebcomiclist.com - twice! For some reason tho, they insist my site
www.newmoondesigns.net/wrongturn always gives them a “not found” error.

I'm listed at belfrycomics.net and joined the “webcomics” group (http://www.facebook.com/#/group.php?gid=55344373484) on Facebook.

BTW, I think your comic is pretty darn funny :)
Keep the chuckles coming.

Anyway, as I like to say, “oh well”,
Rick
