Spells in some Final Fantasy games are in a tier system based on their power. The tier the spell is on is shown by a suffix at the end of it.
A spell with no suffix is the lowest rank.
A spell with “Ra” or just “A” at the end of it is the second rank.
A spell with “Ga” or “Aga” at the end is the highest rank in most games.
Some games have the “Ja” or “Aja” rank, though these spells are often unavailable to players.
