How long do you usually spend on making a comic?

On a good day, I can assemble my standard 4-panel comic in about an hour, but scripting for my story arcs take place separate from my comic (and usually in one big bundle), and takes much longer to piece together. And the punch line comes in a “eureka” moment, so, it can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 10 days to set up correctly.

5 hours a page, not counting the lettering or coloring.

30 minutes to thumbnail my page. This includes perspctive grids.

1 hour for initial pencils.

2 hours to tighten the pencils and make them look good.

30 minutes to scan and clean up the page.

1 hour to flat.

All that adds to 5 hours on average.

Lettering can take between 20 minutes and 45 minutes. I've never colored my pages yet, so I don't know how long it'd take. I'm guessing 60-90 minutes.

LOC is taking about… 2 to 3 hours to make. plus at some days longer because i have to get on the RMS test server to take sceneshots for scenes for the comic.

From order:

about 30 minutes to place backgrounds
1 hour or more to put characters in (including emotes and weapons and stuff…)
and about 30 minutes to an hour for story.

Thats in a good day…

As short as three hours, but sometimes up to six… and the early pages before I started to modify my coloring took about 8 hours total.

This is a guesstimate since when I pencil and ink I don't have a clock in my eyesight, so I always forget to check the time. It goes relatively fast though, and with scanning and basic editing I think it's about 40 minutes to one hour. Unless I'm stuck on scripting/layouting the page, then it can take half a day to do :P

Coloring takes me two hours or more, and half of this time is wasted on filling the black areas.. whis is the most tedious part of work and nearly puts me to sleep, heh. Coloring itself is fun though. Depending on the amount of text and how complicated the layout is, lettering can take from 10 minutes to one hour.

Depends on the page, really.
