How long to actually get reviewed?

I've got twenty pages and four reviews and posted them on the review forum.
How long does it normally take to actually start getting reviews?
Is it a long waiting list, or does it turn around pretty fast?

It's very, very long. It goes a little faster if you help lots and lots by reviewing all the comics on the review list in front of you as they come up for review.

Darn! I was hoping it would be soon.
I'm really keen to get people reviewing it and telling me what they think.
I guess I'll have to wait. :(

Make sure you've signed your comic up, too- there's a signup thread that ought to be sticked at the top of that review forum. Some people do reviews and then never actually signed up for their turn…

You can gauge how long it might take by how many people are in front of you on the list. Keep in mind that if they get to a comic on the list, and see it hasn't updated in a couple months, they'll skip it. So, sometimes things go a little faster than they seem.

There might be one new comic up for review per week… that's the average I'd guess. Sometimes it takes a couple weeks for a comic to get its reviews though.

Yes, I did put it on the review thread (well done me!).
Now I must harness the awesome power of maths and count how many people are ahead of me.
Thanks for your help skoolmunkee!

The review forum is nice because you can get thoughts from people that would be in your audience, and better yet people who normally wouldn't, but really you're just getting critiqued by people who probably don't know what they're doing. Yeah you don't need to be a cook to tell food tastes like crap but that person still doesn't know how to cook as well as a pro.

While you wait there's a number of forums out there that have critique sections, heck even smackjeeves, lurk on them for a while and eventually post your art for critique.

That last one is nice since anybody can post, but not many pros come like on the other three. Oh and they're mean.

I wouldn't recommend 4chan for the average artist. If you're familiar with them, you know how harshly honest they are. Though if you REALLY feel open for critique, they're perfect. I wouldn't waste time on posting anime style work there, they frown upon it. I know, haha.
