How would you feel if a TV show had "Incestuous undertones"?

MTV is getting new reality dating show called “Double shot at love”. It's a lot like Tila tequila's shot at love in sense of bisexuality but this time the datees are identical, hot, former playboy model twins. (The Ikki Twins)

Which brings us too:
Article on the show
article
Will there be steamy hot tub scenes with both Ikki twins making out with the same person? Will viewers be grossed out by the incestuous undertones of such a scene or will they just be fascinated with the “hotness” of it?
And this interview:
really hot interview

So my question is: What do you think of this personally? Will it be well received of just plain creepy?

As a man, I would just like to warn you that this is my penis talking and not me.
“I will watch this show just to see the hot chicks, as is my reason for watching anything, ever.”

But I would like to point out that I abhor the direction in which entertainment television is going these days.
I rarely watch TV while at school, but when I do, all I see is trash on every channel but Discovery and Comedy.
Especially Disney Channel. I hate it so much!

But, people will watch what they will, and though it seems silly, I find it hard to argue with twins in skimpy outfits.

I think it will be extremely tame. I'd never watch it, because I don't watch TV, but yeah: tame.

I don't think it's incestuous, unless the girls are behaving sexually with each other, which they won't be.

Sexy twins is an old and standard fantasy, like sexy nurses etc. They won't be transgressing any taboos with this though (mainstream U.S. entertainment T.V.? no chance), the only problems will be perceptions the viewer brings with them :)

yeah this is no big deal.

first off, like someone else said, it will be tame. american tv is still very timid when it comes to sexuality, especially any kind of sexuality outside of the “norm”.

secondly, incest is hardly anything new on tv. watch jerry springer. or watch some porn. theres a whole sub-genre of it.

so yeah, i dont care either way.

I can't imagine anything on MTV being good ever. So I definitely won't end up watching this. But this especially seems like a cheap grab at ratings.

What Hawk said.

Shock value has become blase' and typical at this point. Couple that with the large amounts of editing that goes on and the stuff is about as intense as those ‘Disney X-treme Fruitsnacks’.

“You tell yourself to just
enjoy the process,” he added. “That whether you succeed or fail, win or
lose, it will be fine. You pretend to be Zen. You adopt detachment, and
ironic humor, while secretly praying for a miracle.”

It's not incest when there's a man in the middle of 2 sisters. Especially twin sisters.

It is more like incest when it's not 2 sisters, but a mom-daughter sandwich.

None of this works if it's a woman in a brother-brother or dad-son sandwich. That's completely weird.

It has no appeal to me in the sense of the incestuousness. The girls are hot. No question about that but honestly the whole twin on twin aspect is ‘meh’.

Next they will have a reality show with all the other fetishes ranging from inflation-ism to furries. I can imagine a Real World convention with all these varied “interest” all in one house. It only a matter of time until its on MTV or VH1.

All these shows seem to have the allure of old fashion circus freak shows. America still has that desire to gawk and stare at the bizarre and different and this seems to have become the more acceptable format for that kind of entertainment. Reality TV has become the new Freak Show.

Oh gee, this is pretty heavy stuff here. Kind of reminds me of that part in Nip/Tuck where A GUY HAD SEX WITH HIS SISTER'S CORPSE.
I am so happy to finally be back home

As a guy with a penis and everything the show sounds great. But as a intelligent television watcher. Scratch that. As a television watcher it sounds gawd awful. I hate all these vh1, mtv love shows. Its not a show about love its just a huge collection of STDs fighting and spitting all over each other.

Maybe it's the part of me that's seen girls ditch their boyfriend for another girl when he suggests they “experiment” to make things newer, or maybe it's the part that finds the whole lesbian thing overrated and boring ( And logicially, from a guys perspective it really should be. If you've got a wang, you're not getting in on that. ). I just find the concept to be completely unappealing and even vaguely gross for the obvious fact that these two are mostly playing up the bisexual card for the excuse to be edgy, loose and add more sex to the show. I don't have problems with people being genuinely attracted to something other than the opposite sex, ( At least not most of the time. ) but it seems like it just gets used all too often as an excuse to be loose and have a lot of sex involved in things way too often.

It's not like this is the first time that bisexual polygamy has been shown as cool or even just been approached in pop culture though. If you watch the movie Dodgeball and consider it, you realize that the main character essentially ends up with an open relationship with the lawyer and her girlfriend at the end of the movie. We've had examples of fetishes and whatnot for quite a while. Anyone remember Young Frankenstein? I'd say they hinted pretty strongly at his fiancee sleeping with the monster there.

it's just sex.
or the pretense of sex.

dolphins have sex for pleasure…just enjoy it.
don't put the “cat” on the pedestal.

at least we aren't a praying mantis type species.

Same here. :(

I mean, I'm happy for the lesbian couple; happy that they're happy. But I don't find it interesting at all.

i'm going with this. sounds like any other fucking thing they've had on any time of the day. even if it is seen as sick and incestuous, it's gonna be lost and over shadowed by the hours and hours of mind numbing droll on that's just like it. i can almost guarantee i'll never hear the name of this show again. at least nothing remarkable. MTV's a dead fucking horse.

I think lesbians are a good thing, at least in a porn context. If you're a straight guy and watching porn, straight porn is pretty nice, but you have to be looking at a penis the whole time. Remove that penis and replace it with another vagina, and that makes it a lot better. IRL, however, I don't think it's physically possible for me to have lesbian sex.
I am so happy to finally be back home

Double Shot At Love contestant Kandice Hutchinson's death was an unfortunate occurrence. After her involvement on the show's production, she was reportedly killed in a car accident last October. Sources say that a vehicle allegedly hit the rear end of the 22-year-old makeup artist's car, causing her to be ejected as the vehicle burst into flames.

I don't believe in god but…lol i can't even type it, see article here:

I think this show's possibility of “incestuous undertones” is the last thing anyone is really concerned with.

Unfortunately, since it's MTV, there's a very strong “who cares” involved.

(Of course, if it were two gay twins, and maybe on another network, the world would have burst into flames by now.)
