Happy Cinco de Mayo, commemorating the Mexican military victory over the French forces of Emperor Maximillian in 1862. Never forget the origin of these holidays. It takes something away from the meaning of the day.

…it's Cinco de Mayo? Oh yeah, huh! I should go over to the local family Mexican food place and party with them. I know they were going to do drink specials and food all day! Also, the family is just good people and their food is even better!

Estoi confundido.

At my school, there's sort of a rivalry between the French and Spanish students. On April Fools, we kept sticking paper fish to them (in France, one does that rather than playing pranks). Today, we kept ambushing them with magic markers and drawing the French flag on them. Oodles of fun!

I prefer to celebrate Children's Day….

…and my older brother's b'day (he turned 18 this morning)….

…and this was the 7th anniversary of my First Communion….

So today was extra special!!

i work in the kitchen at a mexican restaurant (do i need to mention that i am the only non-mexican national there at this point?), and 5/5 was OUT OF CONTROL! it was party city all day. we were mega busy, but everyone in the kitchen was singing and dancing, and drinking. it was like partying at work on the clock!

because of the pig asshole sickness, all of mexico shut down, so it was like this one kitchen in texas was making up for the whole country. fun times!
