I been trying to customize the template but when I click on the template, the html template codes are not showing up. So I don't know how to edit or change the background. Could someone help me? Did I do something wrong or is it the site?

the prebuilt templates can't be changed.
You have to use the none/default/own option if you want to make custom pages.

The good news is that as long as you design your page to use a /gfx folder for images (and upload them) you can cut and paste your html code into the none/default/own page.

If there is a style you would like to see made so that you can just use a template please suggest one.

The only template you can customise is your own… The standard, default template -or whatever it's called.

That's the only one where the code will show up. You can find all the DD codes that you need here: http://www.drunkduck.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=626

If you just want to edit one of the custom templates, the best way would be to choose one, go to your comic, look at its source code, copy the source code, change your template back to the default template, paste in the copied source code and make sure you put all the special DD codes in there, like: the Add and the nav button codes.
