It's ugly and it's colors hurt my eyes. Also it feels…claustraphobic. Can you guys change it back?

I agree exactly with the first post, I was just trying to figure out how to express the horrible boxed in feeling it gives me, I liked the previous default subsilver forum more, it was easy to navigate, you knew which forums and topics had new posts in them, and everything was nicely arranged.

Old subsilver PHP forum ftw, however that WONT be comming back due to the complicated integration strangeness, the best we can hope for is for it to make a little more sense eventually.

What the fuck?! I leave for a while, come back to the forums, and now they are ugly as hell! What were you guys thinking when you changed the forums like this? I can't see jack shit and it's cluttered to hell and back!

I don't think a forum like this deserves a chance. It's just plain out ugly. Plus, the lack of sig's I dislike, as well of the loss of when a comment was made.

The rest of the sit is awesome, but this part needs a little more work.

Now you have to click the topic AND the link inside he topic instead of just posting the new post link above the users name T_T


Also this forum sux, its UGLEH!!!!!! oh there are some things i like about it like it showing my account and comics, other then that I HATE IT.

This is the new forum program - totally new code, not a free forum software program. It's integrated with the whole DD site. You can send messages to anyone using your DD user account.

But a lot of the features are still being coded. Like the “view all new posts since last visit” – which is just killing me, let me tell you.

But they'll be back and everything will work a ton smoother when it's done.

I hope there'll be options for folks to adjust colors and such over time. This dark format is not very friendly.

I understand the change and endorse it whole heartdly. It is not the prettiest and possible color changes could always be made. But te Pm and stuf makes it enjoyable.

The color can use a bit work but I like the system ^^

Click their name and you can send a PQ! That's almost TWICE as good as a PM.

Hm… this is something quite new. But I sorta have to agree with others. However, I DO like how it loads faster now.

The forum is still being worked on, right?

I like the fact that it's all integrated and we still feel like we're in Drunk Duck while in the forums.

There are bugs to be worked out and I'm glad that is realized. Nice thing is Volte6 has a lot more at his arsenal to handle these problems. I think this can be a good forum if we tweak it a little. Here's my ideas:

- I want to be able to see the thread in a window when replying, so I can look back at previous posts.
- Can we get the posts to alternate colors slightly so they look more seperated?
- The horizontal lines framing each one of our posts look like the quoted text of some forum systems. I say either make them boxes or take them out.

Anyway, I think things are going a good direction and I'm excited to see how things are when we're all settled.

I still felt like I was on DD when I was on the old forums. After all, it is the people that helped make the forums what they were. And all it takes is a template that burns my eyes and pisses me off to ruin it.

Oh, and:

- Apparently we can't edit our posts. I assume that's one of the features you guys will be adding.
- After posting, I like the way the old forum would just take you to your post after a certain amount of time passed, or you could click to go back up to the topic level instead.

And this is a silly little thing, but I really liked being able to jump to the last (or second to last) page of a thread right from the thread list. I don't know if that's been mentioned. Yes, I'm lazy, and I just can't handle clicking a thread, then entering a page number in the little box. I've been spoiled.

We can make that happen.. just give us a little time to assimilate all of the feedback and see what to address first.

I am kind of seeing parallels here to the launch of dA 5.0, with incomplete features at launch.

Things seem to be coming about quickly though, so no worries, it'll be back to normal in good time.

I think my only gripe with the look of the forum posts is that it runs together, if anything, the text area for the post itself should have a lighter shade so it pops a bit more.

i personally like the dark look bright colors or lights burn my eyes, like this repy box i'm seeing currently.

i'd personally have it black but that's me.

but the lack of posts sense last visit and my sig being wiped out bothers me alot.
but as long as i still have my second avy i'm not pissed.

I dont like the new forum look at all, for one the bright white text on a dark background really hurts my eyes.
Couldnt you guys gone with grey/silver or something?

And like whats already been said, its really claustrophobic too.

Perhaps I could provide some suggestions to improve the layout of this forum?

Color schemes - Dark aqua green throughout the forum area with the dark purple control panel is making the whole forum area dark and looks similarly packed together. I suggest perhaps you could use soothing color for the posted text area.

View Category - Link is leading to the main forum. I would like the link used to lead separate the forum category. In future, perhaps we could see DD Forum » View Categories » View Topics » Topic Name

Image icons over buttons for the reply page - For the underline, italics, etc. buttons.

*NEW* - remove the dotted line around the *NEW* word for the new posts. Bold the topic title to give attention to the users if possible.

Wow, talk about patience, guys, give it time for things to normalize, no big upgrades / implementations work out 100 % smoothly ever and we have volte constantly working his butt off in this. Just state the concerns and it will be addressed to in due time, its not like we pay for this stuff and all.

On that note, the color scheme of this forum gives me eye strain and it would be great to get the sigs back, But in overall i think the whole site thing looks great.

my eyeballs hurt and stuffs /cry and the old forums are such big lettering I can't read any of it for an exstended period of time. And I have no idea what is new and not new from the main page….I miss the old form….and no signatire to put a banner on? That makes me sad.

I said it in another post, but I'll say it again.

I miss my user forum where I had a lot of information posted about my comics and such.
Even if no one looked at it *sniffle*
