Good tutorials? There's lots!

This is the best one:
http://www.pencilkiller.com/tutorial.html

Others:
http://www.e-frontier.com/go/mangastudio/tutorials
(At bottom):
http://www.digitalmediadesigner.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=37868

And since Tokyopop is the creator of Manga Studio, lots of people ask questions about it at the forums:

Enjoy!!! :D

This year, school's full of BS!!!

Umm… Yay? What is it?

it's sorta like photoshop but not really, and it's speically designed to create comic templates for you and to help you make manga. it has shitloads of screentones, of all kinds. even backgrounds with buildings in them and stuff.

I'm lucky to get it for like 25 dollars at an store by chance conidsering that the last time I looked it up on the net, it was like 119 dollars…

I was browsing though the stores for something affordable to fiddle around with, snice sometimes they just sell basic progams and games for like 10 dollars. the more well-known stuff, like photoshop is like around 80 dollars or more. and when I spotted it, and saw the price, I was like “oh shit. 25 dollars only?”
and it was the only one in stock that they actually had. I don't think they even had a clue how much it costed online, or what it was. XD
they were proably like: “What's this? some kind of progam software that has to do with Manga? what is manga? oh, comics… then in that case, let's smack 25 dollars on this thing and set it up here.”

I just nabbed that bad boy like there was no tomrrow. XD

Haha, nice XD

Well, good luck. It's a great program, and a lot of professional artists in Tokyopop use it.

yeah. I'm still figuring out how to put the layout templates togther, so I won't be using it for my current comics that I'm making until I figure it out. ^_^
I gonna say though, the screentones they have on there and stuff, is sweet. espeically the background ones with buildings and the like. saves me effort in creating backgrounds, so to speak.

Manga Studio is just perfectly awesome. I'm using it to do ALL my comics now. The new page on my Drunkduck comic was done in MS.

It costs about a tenth of what Painter and CS cost and it's specifically designed for making comics.

Blue line, pencil, inks, multiple pens, it's a REALLY powerful software. Definitely worth learning for anyone who draws digitally. I haven't worked on paper in more than a year and, with MS, I won't be going back ever.
