I don't know what he was advertising, but I never thought Kevin Pereira would do this in the nude… I mean… either he thinks he's that “hawt”, or someone threw him a ton of money. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'll go throw up now…

I saw that commercial. It seemed like the longest most uncomfortable commercial ever and I still have no idea what it was for.

i can't watch that channel anymore…i just can't. it's not g4 anymore.

they got rid of a ton of shows, they turned x-play into a smorgasboard of every show on the network, wtf is up with cheaters and cops? AOTS is the only good show left on that channel.

Like MTV, G4 exists to destroy the respect of the media it professes to show. If I only wanted to know about the next Halo or Guitar Hero, I suppose I'd be pleased with the network. But I'm older than twelve and have better taste than a chimpanzee, so I don't watch the network.

You are 100 kinds of awesome for saying that, it's absolutely true!
Sadly Cartoon Network is drifting into this territory as well. Why do people continue to watch things they think are crap? The loudest and clearest way to let the networks know is to simply stop watching those channels.

I stopped watching that channel when they started hiring bimbos that know nothing of gaming, the male hosts were a buncha unlikable tools, and they shifted the attention away from gaming and technology and started wasting my time with embarrassingly stupid sex question segments. This is G4, not Cosmopolitan!!!

I really miss the older x-play, they had more freedom to make immature jokes(“sorry babe, i'm in love with the sky”) and didn't seem so pressured to be a serious show for serius gaemers. The halloween/saw parody special was one of the greatest things I've seen on TV.

I like Current TV now, i think i'm the only one that ever watches it though -_- Supernews and vanguard are amazing, and there's lots of documentaries that are actually interesting and not that atrocious low-budget garbage from freshman bio.

G4 used to be pretty rad and actually about games. Now it's COPS and Cheater about 14 hours a day, some old school movie, an hour of Attac of the Show, X-play and then some Talk Soup rip-off with an annoying cunt-faced host.

What Im trying to get at is:

I'm a fan of The MMO Report, and that's about it. I used to be an X-Play fan, but I quickly got tired of Morgan Webb's annoying voice and face. That show would be much better with just Adam Sessler.

I miss the network that was once TechTV. I recall it actually having useful information, like how to repair a computer or how to make a bootleg copy of a program. It was about geeky techy stuff, not about anorexic naked women pretending they like video games.

I lost a lot of respect for the show when they started calling it X-Play (which doesn't mean a damn thing) instead of Extended Play (which is, y'know, a gaming term). Why? X's are not that cool.

That commercial hasn't been uploaded on YouTube yet, but it shows Kevin Pereira laying on his side, his right hand supporting his head and his left hand covering his “naughty bits”. I forget what he was advertising, but now I wish I could unsee that commercial… x_x

He was apparently sporting a mustdache or something as well…

Extended Play is a lot less catchy. Marketing-wise it's smarter to go with something that doesnt really have any meaning, but is short and to the point. Also given that it's a very sarcastic show and appeals towards kids in their mid-teens, it's more reasonable to give it a kind of “hip” name.

In general though, that show is dumb as hell. I give it a 1…. out of 5.
