for those that don't know, i am a G.I.Joe nut. i collect the action figures and i have (most of)the first 100 issues of the comic series from when i was a kid. i'm a member of a couple Joe websites for trading figures and discussing random crap…

did you know there is a live action movie coming out later this year?
did you know i have read the final script?
that said: the file cards for the movie figs were leaked from a UK toy fair. i photoshopped a photo of the face from one of the stars of the film with one of the pictures from the file cards and posted them on this one site to clear up any speculation (the file card picture is totally ridiculous and my photoshop image is actually a spoiler for the film…but that doesn't excuse it from being a retarded picture/character or a retarded plot twist).
well, my image links were taken out of my post when i got home from work.

apparently Paramount flexed their muscles on the poor geek website, and they were forced to censor my post.

i'm so mad right now…….i mean. why do they have the right to do this (paramount)? at this point it is clearly evident they are trying to hide the fact that their movie is terrible. but what gives them the right to take down my images?

Short answer. Because they can. Big corps tend to be run by dicks. That's why it's always so mesmerizing when big corps actually act nice to their fans.
Those were my two cents.

Probably the same reason video game companies have the right to stop journalism sites from posting videos people take with concealed cameras.

Json. That's easy to get around: just post it on a non-US site and then post links to it in whatever forum you want :)

Russian sites etc. are notorious for getting around that sort of thing.

besides, their legal clout in that area is more likely bluster than anything genuine or even practical.

That actually doesn't look half bad….the Baroness looks way too young, though.

That preview looks kinda cool. I'll go see it, can't be worse then some of the other movies coming out this year. I wonder when the Masters of the Universe flick is going to be made?

Hell, they made a Masters of the Universe movie back in 1987. Courtney Cox was in it.

…Don't tell me they're making another one… huh!?

AND Dolph Lungren…
The poor man's Ah-nold.

At least Ah-nold kept his cool Austrian accent… Dolph, like Rutgar lost his lovely European accent and traded them in for a silicone fake American one. :(

Hey I just realized that Dolph Lungren is the same guy who played the Russian in Rocky IV. Neat.

That's the guy :)

———–
When Masters of the Universe came out he'd been a student at a Sydney university. I still remember the media here claiming some Australian connection to him, it was pretty embarrassing. But he was even interviewed on the news standing out the front of some dowdy typical suburban Aussie home with a clothesline visible in the backyard. He was next to a life-size cutout of himself…
He looked like such a dork.
———–
You know who would have been a great director for this project? Rob Liefield!
he's a spiritual farther to it! ^___^
All that plastic body armour, shoulder pads, pocket pouches around every limb, massive guns… It might have been a situation where his stuff really actually worked for once.
It might have been a heavenly synergy!

I would've paid to see that film. :(
