me and my friend KademonsterX have been wondering if death note should become a sprite comic in 16-bit. i would be working on the story as he makes the sprites. so far it is in the planning stage and has had no work done yet. i just want to know if we should attempt at it.
Be it impossible or absurd, we continue to follow the path of true men! If there's a wall, we'll tear it down! If there is no path, we'll make it with our own hands! The magma of the heart's Final ignition, the perfect union.

Sprite comics arent good unless its your own characters or unless you really have the uncanny ability to make me rotflmao while reading your comic. :)

QFT.

But if you wanted, I suppose you could make like, a story that resembles Death Note? Or something along those lines?

Or just make it incredibly hilarious, completely disregarding the story at points.

There are rare situations where a sprite comic can be a good thing, but that's only if you're doing something original.
That's “Dr. BlkKnight” to all of you.

Personally, i think that death note isnt really fit for sprite comics.
But then again my Slugma is nicknamed L so who cares what i think?

you want to know if ripping off an anime you like to make a sprite comic that won't be as good because the mediums aren't all that compatible is a bad idea?

let me save you a lot of uneeded threads. whenever you suggestion starts with “should i make {popular anime/videogame} in {different format}” the answer is no. if you don't have an idea yourself, biting someone else's makes you look bad.

Originally this said something like “try it out” but honestly… I just realized I don't like the Death Note Anime… I liked the manga… but not the anime…

Rather than launch straight into an epic, why not test out making 5 or 10 episodes and then see if it's working or not?
