I'm tired of being the only interviewer! >:O

Anyway, I'm thinking this might be a neat idea. However it COULD go terribly wrong, but let's hope not.

By the way, I want to limit this to 10 people this time around because I'm not sure how much trouble this will be to manage. :)

The idea is that if you sign up for this interview circle, you're agreeing to interview someone, in return for someone else in the group interviewing you.

Once I have the circle of 10 people, I'll randomly assign people to each other to interview. (You can send me a PQ BEFORE I do the assigning if you REALLY don't want to interview someone else in the circle. If there's a comic no one wants to interview I'll try to work something out before making someone do it.) Then you'll have 2 weeks to investigate this person/their comics, pick whatever you want to interview them about, and write your questions. THEN you have to send your questions to ME, so I can make sure you aren't just going through the motions and asking a list of crappy uninteresting questions. (Sounds fair to me, and it will sound fair to the people who intend to do a good job.) I'll approve them as fast as possible and so that will leave 2 weeks for those people to get their answers.

I'm not looking for rocket-science amazing wow interviews, but interviewers should try and show that they've done a bit of work and know something about the person they're getting answers from. Also basic writing ability is important, no interviews consisting of ‘ur comic looks gd, how u do it?’ These are meant to make the site look inviting. T_T Let's say about 10 questions as a general guide - although 5 in-depth questions are better than 10 super short questions.

Interviews can be in any format, text, comic, mp3, whatever. My goal is to have a 2-week run of ‘User interviews’ (or whatever I'd call them) where I post an interview up each day and it gets a news post and stickied thread and everything like mine. :)

I'll also want to know if anyone is willing to do 2 interviews, in case someone skips town or bombs their questions. So maybe it would be worth it to sign up a few ‘backups’ just in case.

March 31 - Due date to send me the completed interviews

(My archive is way scarier than JustNoPoint's… :-P Though one wouldn't have to read through the whole thing to come up with a good interview, imo.)

I'd love too! Mostly cause I'm chaotic and I ask a lot of questions and make a lot of noise anyways…
Plus I can combat the ever creeping boredom! Yays!

We've had a few people offer that in the past and Volte nixed it- they want the interviews coming from the admins for whatever reasons. I thought this little project would still work with that because A: it's a community thing which is good, and B: I'll be able to review the questions to make sure they're appropriate etc. But, apparently they're not as keen on the idea of others doing regular interviews.

Well, seems to me the simple solution would be for the Admins to release an official Interview Questions template. Then anyone can use it and as long as the replies are cut to the point they can be reviewed quickly by an Admin and posted.

I'm working on an Interview Questions model template for my own use and I will be happy to release it for general use. I will also be refering to some of the official Interviews for a better idea of what the Admins feel is appropriate, because I will obviously be crafting my own interview questions based on my own concerns and interests.
